Well after several month and a lot of dissapointments I finally have a new job. It's in Quality Control rather than pattern cutting which is what I was doing previously. The company is a smallish one that produces school, Girl Guide and Scout uniforms and the the imediate team I'm working with is pretty small which will suit me alot better than the team I was attempting to work with in my last job. The overall dissription of the job sounds quite interesting in that because it small company so it's wont be the standard job and also it a new job with in the company so I dont have to live up to anything and shape it to some degree to suit me which will also help. So all in all a very nice xmas present thank you very much. biggrin.gif

Thought I'd give you a quick update as to how the job's going. Well I'm pretty much 2 weeks in now and get payed tomorrow. biggrin.gif Any I was right the people I'm working with are really nice and easy to get on with I think I've met most of the people who work there now, they keep comming and hunting me out to introduce themselve which I find really amuseing especially seeing as I have the worst memory for names. I've even met both the owner who also hunted me down to say hello. So basically they're all really friendly. The job's interesting and there not expecting me to just jump in and know the job straight away and are letting me work things out at my own speed. The only draw back so far is that it can take up to 2hrs do what would normally take an hour to get there in the morning because the traffic's so bad.
So all in all it'g oing pretty well. biggrin.gif

It's great to enjoy work. Life's too short to drudge around miserably. Yay for you!

Wow! I only found out you had a new job yesterday when I saw this thread for the first time *curses lack of internet*

I'm so not in the loop anymore.

Anyway, congratulations. I'm really happy for you, it sounds like a great job and enjoying it is a double plus yay thing.

Well it's taken me a while to find one and it's not exactly what i was expecting to do but it leaves me plenty on time and space to do more creative stuff in my spare time if I want. So I'm going to be able balance out my creative urges with the need to work pretty well I think. I'm even considering trying to find a evening course in jewellery so I can do that properly again.

Sounds good to me. I'm all about taking time to do your own thing. I really don't like where I work at the moment. They are all a bunch of *&$%^ús and I can't be bothered with them. I get no support and as a result I get no desire to be at work. Thankfully I only work part time but I am going to look for other jobs at the end of February unless things pick up.

Don't resist the creative urges. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Mata's! laugh.gif
