Happy new year everyone.

I've been thinking about resolutions, the obvious one is to finish my PhD thesis, after that I think I shall resolve to try and make a decent living out of being creative rather than scraping through life like I am at the moment. Oh, and I think I should resolve to go out in the sun more this summer. I feel like I've barely stepped outside this year!

Is anyone else planning on making resolutions?

Happy New Year to all! May this year be better than the last one.
How do you plan to celebrate? I'll be at the family party playing Risk and eating snacks with my dad's buddies until 2 in the morning. It's geeky, but a whole load of fun. smile.gif

Happy New Year all. I have done the traditional New Year thing, ie. spend the morning asleep, the afternoon in a pub and will be spending the evening at a party.

No resolutions for me, because I fully accept the logic of what someone said once, that the only time you remember your resoltuions is at New Year next year, because it's the only time that your brain is in the same state.

I am also going incredibly geeky by having an online bash with my friends. It's our 3rd year running...we are so awesome. biggrin.gif But during the day until about 11 PM British time, I'm going to be having a piratey party with my sister, because everyone else in the house went to other towns for New Year's. So we're doing the logical thing...getting drunk while wearing eyepatches.

Anyway, happy New Year, everyone! And bye bye 2005...you were my awesomest year yet, so I have only the best hopes for 2006. I'm not really making any specific resolutions...just going to try carrying on with the ones I made in 2005 and succeeded with.

Keeping my girlfriend company in the bar she works at!

My new years resolution this coming year is gonna be to write down a lot more of my creative ideas before they slip away!

Happy New Year everyone!
I'm not doing anything much except that I know I'll be staying up past midnight anyway, purely because I do usually, not because today's any different. And as for the revolutions... now that's a thought, I'd better make some! Hmm...

Happy new years, Markslut tongue.gif And everone else!!

Still 5 hours yet for me.

My resolution is to be less dependant on people (as much as possible without being antisocial) because I really get held back because I'm so attatched to everyone.

Happy new years to all the west-hemisphrere east-coasters. Mine was uneventful--watching Crash with the family (my mother took every opportunity to scream) and then switching over to see the last few moments of ball-droppage. Dick Clark is decomposing before our very eyes--it's kind of sad.

I got to watch people get drunk and guard our liquior cabinet against the crazies. Then offered them beer instead (because we have it coming out of our ears)

Luckily they all respected the fact that they're not to touch our liquior and only needed a little hand on the back to make them back away.

And yay! Happy new years!

I wasn't holding much stock in this New Year being much fun seeing that I didn't have any plans. T'was ok though, went to my sisters and we ended up going to their friends, I was well stocked with beer and rum and managed to get quite drunk. How drunk you ask? Well drunk enough that while trying to get into bed (which was an unrivaled success) I managed to elbow my bedside lamp in such a way that it flew straight against the skirting board and smashed. Woo! Rather surprisingly my hangover is almost non-existant, but I think I may pretend and spend most of the day in bed. tongue.gif

Resolutions? Umm...to be less of a recluse, more out going and more sociable. Also to get a girlfriend. tongue.gif

Was it a good porn website Mata?

Urgh, I was working from 4 till 1:30 so my New Years was spent in the pub. Not to fear for I had a party to go to, just no bus to get me there. So I took my bike, and despite telling myself not to I got quite drunk on the pints people bought me. It was suprisingly easy to cycle to the party at 2:30am (stayed for after work drinks) but I didn't anticpiate how long and uphill the cycle back home this morning was going to be, especially hungover and sleep deprived.
