Had a meeting with my boss a couple of hours ago, and I've been made redundant, today was my last day sad.gif

I'm really sorry to hear that. What did you do?

Good luck with finding a new one, I'm sure it wont take long.

That sucks sad.gif

It happened to me a few years ago so I can sympathise with you. Maybe it's an opportunity to make that move you were talking about.

In the meantime, if I were you, I'd go out and get shickered.

Excellent! Sounds like you have the all important easily transferrable skills.

It really does suck that you lost your job. If you liked what you were doing then I'd look at similar employers when you redistribute your resume. If you weren't really liking what you were doing then try to see it as an adventure. " A thousand shining moments waiting just to happen to you." Change is never easy but it can be good.

Good Luck!

Sorry to hear that mate. I may be in a similar position myself at work. Try to look on it as a positive, an opportunity to look for something new. I'm currently looking at other jobs just to see what's out there.

I'm being made redundant but unlike you I couldn't be happier. I really don't like my job and it saves me the hassle of handing in my notice. Unfortunately I've not been here long enough and the company doesn't have a policy of redundancy packages. Bah!

Good luck in finding what you want to do next. I'm sure whatever you do it'll be wicked. I'm thinking about becoming self employed. Eeep unsure.gif

Any more ideas about moving??

I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. Ed is really keen on being a tattooist so perhaps something to do with that? I just don't know. The world really is my oyster biggrin.gif

The North has been put back a bit - I'd nearly saved my target and was planning to come up there for a recconnasance (sp) trip

Why 8 hours? I used to get a coach from London to Warrington and it only took 4 hours. Bah to National Express dry.gif

I know they were cutting back at the UK head office, the dealerships are independant though but the squeeze was being put on them. Most of the problems with vehicles was caused by cost cutting at the factories. New models were a step back in build quality. To be honest I don't really want to go back into the motor trade.
