Two of what?

I passed first time because I'm awesome, not really - I think the examiner took pity on me because every kind of animal you could find on Noahs Arc ran out in front of me in the space of those 40 mins. Even a Dodo! Maybe he was just so shocked that he fainted and didn't notice all the mistakes I made? tongue.gif

You'll do fine, you just need to stay calm - even if you do something silly just keep going like normal.
Good luck!

Edit: Ooooh I just noticed your homepage thingy... do you have a mini?

I haven't taken my test yet because I'm both too busy and too lazy to do any proper driving practice.

I've noticed that its alot easier to get your license in America. I passed my test a couple weeks ago, I only got 4 days out on the roads with an instructor, And the acctual time I was on the road was about 70 minutes, at most. Mind, the times we were out on the road there was barely any traffic, so basically, I can get my license as soon as I'm the right age (have to wait till may) but I passed the test with my instructor not knowing how I'll drive with other cars around AT ALL.

Kind of scary, isnt it?

Thank god my parents are good drivers and are comfortable letting me drive and teaching me a bit more tongue.gif

I'm so sad sad.gif I was so confident and sure I would pass.

I only got 3 minors!

I failed on reversing around a corner, didnt hit the curb, but there was on coming traffic whilst I was in the process of doing the manuveor (sp) that I only spotted when they went passed. If they had just waited I probably wouldnt have failed sad.gif

I have always wondered why exactly they make people do that there (we don't have to do it here). When do you ever need to reverse around a corner? Parallel parking, sure, that's useful. But reversing around a corner? That one I don't particularly understand.

Having said that, I'm nearly 24 and have never even attempted the US driving test (which I have heard is in fact easier from people who have taken the tests in both countries), so you're ahead of me! I drove for all of 2 months with my permit before I gave up. I don't like driving. It scares me.

You wouldn't be able to do that in Oregon, Kitty. Here you have to have a certain amount of practice hours before you can even attempt the test. And until you've had your license a certain amount of time, no one under a certain age (either 18, 21, or 25, can't remember) who isn't related to you can ride with you.

To get your license you have to turn in a slip that says you completed the textbook class, the class where you're acctually in the car driving, and you have to submit a log that states that you've had atleast 40 hours of driving time, and 10 hours at night.

That being said, they have no way of checking weather or not the driving log is true.

We cant drive with more than 1 person in the passanger seat of the car untill we're 18 (with license) unless its family. And if its family I think one other person in the car has to hold a license.

Theres also a test at the DMV, but as far as I know you just drive around the parkinglot real quick and come back.
