I don't know how many of you knew who she was but she was on Radio 4 (especially Just A Minute and The News Quiz, she was always one of my favourite contestants) lots. Apparently she died last Monday from ovarian cancer, which makes me very sad; she was only 48! She was a very funny woman, I can't believe I didn't hear about this sooner!
Any other Brits know who I'm talking about? (I'm sure you would if you heard her voice).

She was very young indeed. She was one of those people who you see and think 'they're very talented, I bet I see more of them in the future'... I guess not. What a sad time for her family.

I watched the tribute Room 101. She was a great woman with a sort of wit which she didn't even have to try for it to show. Shame we didn't get to see more of it.

My Mum died of ovarian cancer in December. It's a sad, scarey disease. I know how her family feels.

You can support charities like Ovacome and M&S have just released an ovarian cancer pin for Ovarian Cancer Action(much like the breast cancer charity) for 1 so go buy it smile.gif

She was a very funny lady. I always remembered her being on Room 101 and totally agreeing with the "adults who read Harry Potter" comment laugh.gif

Depends on your definition of "adult" I guess. I have no idea laugh.gif

Personally I don't like Harry Potter. I did. A few years ago but I just can't get into it anymore. That's not to say that it's bad but I just don't like it. I can't say that I'm trying to expand my reading horizons as I read chick lit all the time laugh.gif but I do think childrens' books aren't my taste anymore.
