Have you tried eBay? I'd be careful about getting cheap hard drives, the last two hard drives my computer has had were both free and both packed up after a year or so and retrieving the data is far too much effort for my dad/far too much money for someone else to do.

I'd suggest not going for the absolute cheapest you can find, instead spend a little bit more to get something that's not so likely to be made from recycled tin-foil. The difference will only be a few pounds but it might save your data in the future.
