I don't usually do much in this forum, but as I'm on study leave, got bored and had a large roll of duct tape handy, I thought I'd make some stuff.

First up, duct tape belt:

As there is still a lot of duct tape and study leave left, there shall be more things made over the next few weeks.

Anyone else made things out of duct tape?

Just a wallet, which my little sister promptly stole. I'd gone all technical with it and it had pockets for different stuff and a change pocket and everything. I even cut out the middle of a pocket on one side for one of those see-through thingies you stick your driver's liscence in.

Yeah. I've made a few wallets. They smelled funny, cos I used Dollar Store duct tape. But I got some of the real stuff and made a neat-o camoflage one.

You should make a duct tape mask. Or helmet. Or hat. Something that goes on the head.

Try making a duct tape suit. Or a tie.

Or you could make a whole outfit.

You know, there's a duct tape prom scholarship. Basically you make your prom dress/tux out of duct tape, apply for the scholarship and send pictures, then they award the prize by which was the most creative.

I've made a couple duct tape corsets.
If anyone is seriously going to make one I reccomend making one out of fabric first, then duct tape.... otherwise it just stretches out and becomes un-corset-y

I made a duct tape clutch purse a while back. In black and purple---It's quite cute, actually...I'll get pictures eventually.

I've also made some wallets, and I was thinking about doing a dress...but I don't think I'm going to have time... sad.gif

It's made from duct tape. Although currently it doesn't work beacuse I started to re-do the buckle but haven't had time to finish it off again. Yeah, apparently you spend time studying in study leave, who knew? So I haven't had time to do much else.

You might. Some of us procrastinate and organise the fridge into colour co-ordinated shelves.

How do you make things out of duct tape? I mean to say, where do you start? Is there a tutorial or something on how to make a duct tape wallet? Do you put it around an existing wallet?

I do procrastinate and do stuff like clearing my desk of three years worth of stuff, but I also study.

If you wanna make a wallet then there probably is a tutorial somewhere, but if you want to do it yourself then just make some duct tape panels by cutting strips and sticking them together, back to back, then stick on pockets or whatever you want.

The point is to be creative and do it however the hell you want and think will work. CM, for your belt I do reccommend that you tape over a peice of fabric or maybe a cord or something, because ductape stretches ALOT

Or tidy their room and 5 years' worth of biology and chemistry notes, organise the surplus school supplies and worthless notes into recycleable and non-recycleable, go for a trip to the tip, help mum with the shopping, wash the kitchen floor, then justify all that as a day's work well done and spend the afternoon playing Oblivion tongue.gif
