For those who've never heard of it here's a link to a trailer and review.

I haven't seen it yet, but I most likely will be seeing it late tonight. Normally don't buy when film promoters say the words "contravershial". But this time I genuinely think this should be something genuinely convulated and twisted enough to make my brain think and my emotions wince uncomfortably (which I think's a good thing).

Anyone seen this film already and thought it was any good, or pretty bad?

Blimey, that looks like a rather stressful few hours of viewing! It's a very interesting, and the reviewer certainly seems convinced that it lives up to it.

I haven't heard of this before. Cheers for the link!

I actually think that looks good. And I normally run a mile from anything even vaguely horror-thriller related, so maybe thats a good sign smile.gif

Yup! Certainly is! It's very very well made! Certainly made me shuffle in my seat feeling uncomfortable for almost the entire thing!

It's not really on screen gory either. It's very very tension filled more than bloody. It's like... what you don't see makes everything more twitchy than if you did get everything presented to you.

I won't say anymore spoilers than that.

Oh one more thing, I am not normally made nervous by films and rarely does a film bring any kind of emotional response out in my while I am actually watching it. But.. man.. I recommend bringing some kinda stress ball to squeeze on to get you through it.

After reading this thread and watching the trailer, I attempted tonight to find it in most of the rental stores I have an account with. No such luck. I may end up buying it from Amazon or some such.

Currently in the cinemas Irish.

The BBC new's reviewer is generally a fool when it come's to reviews, slagging off anything that he does not consider "arty". But for this one, he recommended it as a "first date" movie to see the fella squirm. Can't wait to see it myself, but i doubt if the missus will go.

Huwhat? Oh. I saw the 2005 on IMDB and assumed it'd already come out. Silly me.

I know Hard Candy is playing in the smaller theatres here in Seattle. It's a low-budget indie flick so you might have a little trouble finding a place playing it.

Has anyone seen it? Its out on DVD now. I finished watching it last night but, me being the strange person I am, have to watch a movie 2 or 3 times to really have an opinion.

What'd you guys think?
