There's a fash advert advertising the rolling stones getting in the way of animations. I can't get a picture as everything refuses to paste right now.

Is this the same problem that you've had before? I have been unable to reproduce the problem on my machine. Is anyone else having an issue with this? Have you tried simply expanding your viewing window? When I view the site, even on a very low resolution screen, none of the elements overlap, so there aren't any issues with banners covering anything. I can only get them to cross over if I shrink my window to a tiny size.

No. My window is at the largest size. Yes it's the same problem I had before.

Here's a picture

Right, I've reduced my screen as small as it will go, and the banners go behind the animations without overlapping them.

This does seem to be an issue that is only effecting you, and the most simple answer is to raise the resolution on your monitor. You will be able to fit far more on the screen, and you will soon get used to the smaller-appearing type. After a short time you'll wonder how you ever managed for so long at such a low resolution!

To change your resolution, go to your desktop, right click, select 'Properties' then the 'settings' tab, and raise the slider up a notch. 1024x768 is fine, but I usually run my screen as high as it will go.

There does seem to be some conflict in the Z order of levels (the Z order is the way things are stacked on top of each-other - like on a graph where you have the X and Y axis, you have Z to indicate depth) between the way that IE reads them and the way that Firefox reads them, but that's something that's beyond my knowledge and influence to change.

It is very rare these days to find a modern PC running at less than 1024x768, so there are not many designers who take this into account. It's not usually a problem when text is involved, but when Flash, images, and text are all on the page then it can become rather tricky!

Maybe you should get your eyes tested? wink.gif

The increased resolution means that you can fit more on the page, but more pixels means that things do appear smaller.
