I've not had anything try to attack either of the machines I use to access the forums, and I ran a malware and virus scan only a couple of days ago so if anything had slipped through my browser then it would have been picked up then.
My conclusion: that's Norton trying to make the user feel like they've been saved from some mystery attack again. EDIT: To be on the safe side, I've checked the board code, and there's nothing sneaking in there either. I used to get some Winfix (ha! Be I Mac user) thingymajig telling me I needed to download it from a site when I looked at the Myspace site a month or so back, but it's stopped now,. 'Tis rather anyoying though, as it would open up unwanted browser windows.

I suspect that it's a pop-up that tries to automatically install itself, prompting the Norton response.
Given the lack of anyone else having this problem, I can only assume that it must be something on BIC's computer. Get BIC to run a full spyware and virus scan. -------------------- Trouble Down Pit: Still updated every Monday and Friday
