I can't believe that no one has posted yet.

Commie said it perfectly last year.

QUOTE (CommieBastard)
National Novel Writing Month, for those of you who are unfamiliar with it, is an event in November where the participants try to write a novel of at least 50,000 words in a month, beginning midnight November 1st and ending midnight December 1st. Its main purpose as I see it is to combat that tendency of people to want to write a novel "one day", and then endlessly put off that day because "there's never enough time". NaNoWriMo forces you to put the words down on paper, which is the most important thing. It's also a great deal of fun.

I'm doing a creative writing class at Uni so I'm going to try to do it on top. Anyone else in?

Seeing as Uni workload hasn't been *too* bad so far... what the hell. All I have to do now is think of a story...

I was actually thinking about NaNoWriMo last night and thinking "If only I hadn't turned my computer off I would post about it"
Alas I have no writing skills and lots of work for uni in November so I'll not be participating.

I am completely bogged down with work seeing as it's the concert season again but I'll give it a go, perhaps just writing in bed. I shall begin planning!

I just might take part this year.

Naturally I shall continue my trend. This year: one and a half chapters! Also, this year I should think of a storyline before November starts.

Surely by now they should be calling it InNoWriMo? I see representatives of two different nations just in this thread

Raugh grah hum. I wanted to go to the NYC writer's meet, but they're having it in a bar and despite my debonair and sophisticated ways I have yet to convince any sober person that I am 21. Add this disappointment to the piles of schoolwork I'll be doing (and the winter play) and it can be safely said that I am OUT this year.

Although, if anyone is into reading things on the internet for a long time, I have last year's attempt up here and I think I'll spend November turning it into an audiobook.

I have a setting but no plot. Gah. If only my flashes of inspiration weren't so sporadic...

Does 'The Adentures of Plunger Boy and the Pretty Pink Butterfly' sound interesting to any of you?
