What did I miss?

I've been in my new job for a couple of weeks. I could tell you about some of the cool stuff I've seen, but I'd have to kill you afterwards. You don't want that.

My new flat is lovely (anyone visiting Guildford should contact me and we'll go out for drinks). The town is... normal, in fact, it's quite freakishly normal. There's so few weird people that it's really disturbing. I think they eat the weird people.

I went to a really pointless martial arts class, which was a glorified kick-boxing. The first things that they taught us to do was the opposite of what they taught us to do in Wing Tsun; however, I was very restrained and managed to not laugh through the whole thing.

Also... We have Laserquest! Yay! I may well find myself shooting strangers with badly configured laser weapons again in the near future.

Oh, and I've received several thousand spam emails.

So, what's everyone else been up to over the past few weeks?

I traveled about 200 miles to get trampled by some emo kids. It was awesome.

Happy birthday. That happened over the weekend, didn't it?

Welcome back to the land of internets.

I got a job as a receptionist at an Osteopath's which means three days of internets a week (yay!)
I also went to A&E last night.
Wytu was had to go to a lecture in the afternoon and I was holding onto his leg... we were mucking about etc etc. He fell over, jerked his leg out from my grasp and kneed me in the chin. My jaw is very sore, and there are bits missing from my tongue where my teeths met it at speed, with force. I also have a dull headache all the time (even after taking painkillers), but I'm "ok" according to the hospitalmanthing, so all's good biggrin.gif

This is the month of mad resume giving. Plans are coming together for fleeing the icy northlands (it's -35 C this morning) for the lovely land of oceanside. (where it's dull and rains gray in this season) I will reclaim Dante from Edmonton and walk again the lagoon of the mad geese. There's a flock of white, orange eyed, half mad birds that chase people and mug them for bread pieces. It's lovely. smile.gif
That means resume done and out though. Job is necessary part of new life. dry.gif

Welcome back!!! *Hugs*

I must say, that is a LOT of spam!!! blink.gif I never get that much, I'm starting to feel left out by the king of spam who spams everyone...

I've been loaded with lots of coursework *sigh*, and being completely dazzled by all the red and white heart shaped gifts/novelty thingys that jump out at me everytime I try to go shopping. But I'd say I'm feeling rather happy today smile.gif

Hello.

I was at Mata's birthday but am not in any of the pics.

I sell the red and white stuff in my shop. Being told to buy cheesy sweets on a particular day takes the romance out of a relationship. I prefer to be spontaneous with my lovely girl.

(How was that for a first post?)

*claps* very well done for a first post!

Though you could always go along to the introductions section and post a topic introducing yourself so that people can welcome you properly? smile.gif

I must say, your sofa looks really comfy.

We finally got our proper one delivered today. We had a load one and a futon, both of which were very comfy, but the new one is ace, and all mine. It's leather so will probably be with me for the next two decades - which is either cool or depressing, depending on how you look at it.

QUOTE (Daria @ Feb 7 2007, 01:00 PM) *
I also went to A&E last night.

Did they 'have words' to make sure it was an accident? I've always wondered about that... What if a person has genuinely fallen down the stairs or walked into a door? How do you convince people that you're telling the truth? Do you make up something daft instead, because it will be more believable?

The novelty wears thin very quickly. Sifting through it on a daily basis and hoping that you've not missed something important is quite stressful.

You are in my ones, but I've not posted them yet. That was a lovely first post, now pop one in the introductions forum to say hello properly smile.gif

The number of times that you have to post before you can start a new thread has been reduced to one or two. This should stop most spammers (we get a couple new spam accounts made every single day) while making it as easy as possible for new people to get started.

We've only had tiny amounts of snow, though! We got 2 inches last night, but I slept all the way till 1:30 in the afternoon and when I got up it had melted =( Anyhow, it wouldnt be a hit unless something changed, and there's nothing really to change except the bikini I wear.... No one else wants to run out there with me!

Two inches is a tiny amount now? We've got about an inch (if that) and school is closed and I will shortly be going out to sledge/snowball/build snowmen. This is the first time it's snowed this winter though, so maybe it's just 'cos of that.

Its acctually a rather nice amount, but! Not enough for pretty snow angels. That and it melted WAY too fast! =(

But you go on and enjoy your awesome amount of snow biggrin.gif

Welcome back you old fart wink.gif Welcome to your 30's. Please take a ticket and join the queue for wigs, fabric supports and special old people nappies laugh.gif

Sorry I couldn't make it. The reason for my visit down south was to visit Mum's old flat and spruce it up to get a sale but since I arranged this weekend someone has made us an offer so I didn't need to come down. Good for me bad for you wink.gif If it makes you feel any better I've been in bed for the past 3 days with a cold/virus thingy sad.gif I can't even enjoy the inch of snow we had dry.gif

We've got friends in Guildford we've not seen for years so when we finally come down south to empty the flat before completion (fingers crossed it doesn't fall through) we'll try and pop in then smile.gif

Your present will be in the post shortly when I can walk more than 5 steps without falling over and breath properly again. It's a struggle to type I tell ya'!

The receptionistmanthing just laughed when I mentioned that we had been playfighting. Monty was with me and together we do look a bit of a silly pair, so I think there were no worries about wife-beating.
This one time, I had to go to A&E because I had run into a netball post. True story.

Happy belated birthday!
Leather sofas = fun. Even when you slide off them. Very funny to watch.
Hows my "only talent needed is run around and smash things" game coming eh?

Come to think of it I guess I've havent been on here in a little while. Curse you World of Warcraft Burning Crusades. And curse them more for nerfing the rogues. By the end of my cursing I may just have my life back wink.gif

Hi Oob! I think you're thinking of either Burnout or Dead Rising. I can't speak for the latter, and you can read in magazines how the former is coming on biggrin.gif
