Desperate plea for help and attention begins... NOW!
I've decided, after a few years of toying with the idea, to make a proper shot for the upper echelons of the reviewers on Amazon.co.uk. I've knocked a scant ten reviews out over the last three years, but now I'm aiming for at least one a week from now until I get bored (probably some time in May, knowing me). This is where YOU come in. If you have an Amazon.co.uk account, you can mark my reviews as useful or not. Each positive mark boosts my reviewer score, and each negative one reduces it. It's entirely anonymous, so if you don't like what I've written you're free to kick my review sore and bloody across the car park, and I'll never know. However, if you say that you like it, angels will rock you to sleep and glory will be brought to your household. Possibly. My last one up was 'No. 3' by JJ (don't worry if you haven't heard of it - I got a pre-release copy through Rough Trade, and it's gorgeous), but you can access all my reviews by clicking on the handy link next to my name. I review under the name Crawton Leek - readers of my NaNoWriMo will understand. Possibly. Right now I'm ranked 32,608th. If I can break the top 1000, I'll be a happy chappy. It's all down to you. Thanks bud! They recalculate the rankings every 24 hours, so I'll probably have moved up a couple of hundred places by tomorrow morn.
I intend to get another review up there before the week is out. It's just a question of what, though. I've still got two Erase Erratas and a clutch of Counter Cultures to shoot for, but I've just noticed that 'Forever' by Freezepop only has one review to its name. What's more summery than lo-fi synthpop, after all? -------------------- the end is nice |
