In case anyone ever comes here any more, here are some things I'm doing now:

http://www.copperstonesea.com is my consultancy and training company giving specialist advice and workshops on narrative design and video game design. I also use it to publicise my public speaking, which I do rather a lot of around the world.

I'm writing a book about interface and interaction design for video games.

I was promoted to Professor of Creative and Entertainment Video Games at my university in the Netherlands... But that was two years ago, so not exactly recent news!

I'm working on a few new games, with one that I'm making mostly by myself. Whether any of those will be publicly available, I don't know, but it's a lot of fun to do.

With all of these things, sadly I had to let Trouble Down Pit slide from it's usual updates. I kept it running twice a week for eight years, so I think that's pretty good going!

I'm also engaged to be married biggrin.gif

If you're here, thanks for coming back, and I'd love to hear what you're up to smile.gif

Randomly decided to drop by today, and saw a new post! ohmy.gif

Congrats Mata, on the engagement and everything else!

I'm about to take my last exam for my undergrad, and then I'm moving to Colorado this summer to do a PhD in mathematics. I almost ended up moving to Oregon instead, and always thought it was kind of funny that the only thing I knew about Oregon (besides its math department) was that Candice is from there. I'm very excited to leave Florida and live in the mountains. biggrin.gif

Also, wrote some math papers which are still under review. Hopefully finishing up another this summer. They're on arXiv and ResearchGate now, though. My life has pretty much just been math lol.

Sounds like you are - as ever - keeping very busy Mata smile.gif Congratulations on all your news, and good luck with all these latest ventures and adventures!

Embarrassingly, there's not an awful lot for me to report about my own life. Although it's looking like there's going to have to be some changes pretty soon in terms of career, maybe location too.

In Jan 2016, the relationship I had been in for ~4 years came to an end. It wasn't too messy (ish). Nor too unsurprising. But anyway, I've recently entered a rather wonderful new relationship and (because I give romance and my idealistic hopes for love such a priority over everything else in my life) it's making me a happy little Hobbes. Sadly, there is an unfortunate bump in the road approaching... but just gotta' see how we decide to traverse that one.

Everything else stands much the same. Which, in itself, is reason enough to change things.

Hope everyone else is doing well biggrin.gif
