chester: assuming that you're operating a PC (not a Macintosh), the control panel can be found by clicking on the windows Start button ... then go to the "Settings" menu, where you can click on the "Control Panel." The control panel window should pop up, and inside that window you double-click on "Add/Remove Programs." A new window will pop up, showing you a list of programs that you can uninstall. Scroll through the list until you find MSN Messenger, click on it, and then click the "Add/Remove" button towards the bottom of the window. It should uninstall itself then. I hope that helps, but if it doesn't then feel free to PM me or chase me down on AIM (my sn is melablush), and I'd be willing to walk you through it.

And how should I presume?

Or, you could download Trillian, and put all of your chat program information into that. It's handy.
