I find that tequila, a travel bag of limes, your own personally salt shaker and a really good friend to drive you around and hold your hair works wonders. If that doesnt work.. write your ex phone number on the walls of all the porn houses you can find.. biggrin.gif

/me drags on sensible overcoat an such, goes into pshy... psi... erm, head shrink mode

I understand and can feel your pain, Simply. In fact, I'm writing this in grey just to demonstrate the degree of empathy I feel with you right now.

The sad fact is, people can be cruel and heartless. And in this case, stupid. This ex of yours obviously fails to see what an ubergroovy and ultrafunky kind of chick you are. It's their loss, and you're gonna go out an pull someone 10 times more attractive, who'll be more in love with you than anyone has ever been, an will know a good few tricks in the bedroom.

Then you'll dump him and find your soul-mate.

That's what happened to me anyways. Except the him was a her. But it's pretty much the same deal...

In the meantime, get drunk an snog guys at random. You have the power and freedom to enjoy yerself. Go do it!!

woooo den you is in deep dodo... : )
Honestly I think that is the best thing to do really.. sometimes you just have to get out of the house and get trashed... you may not do anything to solve the problem.. but you will have something to talk about the next morning that does not include your ex....

Let me tell you a little story.. I dated this girl once for about 4 months.. I was so in love I couldn't sleep at night. She left and went to Brighton England for 9 months.. the moment she got off the plane she was sleeping with anything she could get to lay down or sit still for a moment. I did not find any of this out until she came back to the states 9 months later. After I had waited and put my life on hold for 9 freaking months. Needless to say I was pissed. So I went to the local bar and proceeded to ask the Bartender for the cheapest drink with the most liquor.. He kept them coming all night (for free..I love him) and I proceeded to tell the whole bar about my ex.. by the end of the night I had people hugging me, buying me drinks, threating to beat her arse for me, offering to take me out or hook me up with there friends... I ended up finding out that I could walk across a street and barf at the same time.. I even had a cop buy me a shot that night. It was fabulous. See.. you just need to get trashed and talk about it to anyone and everyone who will listen. biggrin.gif

I had an odd relationship situation earlier...

A girl who I'd known for a while called me so that I could comfort her now that her boyfriend of roughly 3 1/2 years had dumped her after they 'went on a break'. He, apparently, had found another woman, but didn't tell her straight away. Rather, he left it up to my consolee to find out by accident. Cue much embarrassment and grief.

The odd part of this comes when you consider the fact that the girl I was consoling did the very same thing to me three and a half years ago - almost down to the very last detail.

The irony was not lost on me, I can tell you...

I am proud to say that I did not point this out, or shout "HAH! HOW DOES IT FEEL, BITCH???" down the phone at her, because I am beyond that now. Water under the bridge, doods and doodettes.

It just amused me to see karma at work...

Gah. Karma. I hope it works that way for me...

Last summer, the guy I had been dating on-and-off for several months suddenly got married to his ex-girlfriend. He did this without telling me. I wasn't even in town when it took place. All I got was an email with a vague apology for something I didn't even know had happened. I got to find out (over a phone, long-distance) about all of it.

I know y'all probably would like to know why he did that. I can't give you a very good answer. His ex was pregnant and needed someone to be the father for the baby. His grandmother was dying, and one of her dying wishes was for him to start a family (he was 19 at the time). His and my relationship wasn't always very stable...

He said he'd always love me and all that jazz, but...
Even so...
It was a slap in the face
How quickly I was replaced
And are you thinking of me
When you f**k her?

Hehehe, I think a lot of the advice here has been to lick a vodka imp and summon the hangover Yak.

One way to help speed the healing process (though very hard to do), is just not associate with him anymore for a long time. After the first week or two it starts getting a lot easier... sad.gif

Life can be such a bitch sometimes, but the only thing you can do is grin and bear it.
It sounds like you're better off without him and the "friends" who he pulled.

Move on to bigger and better things smile.gif

(hope you feel happier soon)
