Hello! I'm Sean, new person, don't bite me. Finally noticed that Matazone has a forum (took me long enough...) Anyway, I live in London, and I really should get a job rather than post on these boards the whole time.
And that should be everything. Again, hello.

PS Is my sig too big?

Hey, I like the name. smile.gif I also see you've posted in the other sections of the forum as well, and so far you are sounding pretty cool. Nice to meet ya, and welcome to the Matazone forums. biggrin.gif

Oh good, this place isn't like that other forum I post on...the one where every newbie gets flamed as a matter of course (although due to my sneakiness I was never actually a newbie on that board, but that's another story). Yay for the nice people on this board!

Well. I lurked for a few days on the board, getting my bearings, finding out their rules and customs and who not to cross, when the board was closed down and replaced with a new one. Everyone had to join again, and most people got new user names, having gotten sick of the old ones after years of use. There was a fair bit of confusion since nobody knew who anybody was any more, and I sort of slipped in during all the confusion. Now everybody had joined on the same day, and everybody's postcount had been reset, so nobody had any idea I was a newbie and I escaped flaming! I rule.

I'm fine, I post on another board which uses the same....thingy (you can tell how computer-literate I am methinks). Same kind of forum, anyway, so no worries there. But thanks.

Hiya. It's nice to have you here.

Nah, no one around here actively encourages n00b-flaming... although it is rather fun... *twitch*

As a forum mod, though, I will have to ask you to scale-down the size of your signature picture. Wish I didn't have to, though - I'm very amused by it.

General rule of thumb around here:

post size ≥ avatar size ≥ signature size.

Of course it's not anywhere near set in stone, but it's an idealistic sort of rule.

Anyway, after looking the forum over, it seems you've jumped right in, so that's all good. Smile and be happy. And worship Mata. And you'll be fine.

If you need anything, don't be afraid to ask, all right?

the other forum i post at every newb is told to die in various ways, sometimes the old members get quite creative, but no one is actually serious about anyhting, that's how we see whether they fit in or not, how they react. although i suppose we save the better insults for when someone is being particularly stupid and such.

You see, on this forum, we won't tell you to die...

We will, however, try to shepherd you into the IRC chat and make you undergo the 2:30am (Brit time) buggering initiation...

*evil laugh ensues*

/me would rather frighten the newbies with stories based in truth... those are scary enough round here...

Yay for the happy smiley forums. And don't worry, of course I worship Mata.

When you say my sig, you're talking about the one I have now, right? Because I changed it, but I can't remember when I changed it. Meh...I'll have to steal someone else's funny picture. Know any good image-hosty-places?
