I just wanted to say this really quick because this is really starting to get on my last freaking nerve here.

Some people seem to have an issue with the way I say hello to people who come to the forums. I guess it is thought that my intent is to scare off noobs. Well you know what it's not!

I make an effort to greet EVERYONE who joins the forums. Thing is I get really bored with reading over and over hi hello welcome to the forums, and I don't personally want to do that myself. I used to greet people like that, and I just got bored with myself. I just have this thing about being creative, and I try to be creative in the way I say hello.

As for this scaring off noobs, I highly doubt that it does. Yes we do have a lot of noobs that just disappear after saying hello, but that's bound to happen no matter how people say hi. Think about this forum for a minute. Is this place normal in any sense whatsoever? I don't think so. This place is linked to a site that has some of the most twisted and cool animations that we've all seen in a long time. I think noobs coming here rather expect a certain amount of oddnish when they arrive. If they don't and something like me saying, "Hello I just scratched my leg on a stick outside," scares them off, then they probably would have left anyways after getting a little farther through the forums.

Basically what I'm saying is: I will say hello in whatever fashion I choose so stop telling me how to say hi how I say it, because I'm not going to tell you to stop saying hi in your own fashion. That is all.

Who complains? I love the way you greet noobs. My favourite was "Hi! I'm on my period and I'm really grouchy." Or something like that.

I think you were really nice to say hello at all. I thought I might end up being a loner.

It's not meant to be a rip on any one single person. It's happened to me at least 5 times from various people. I don't think I need to calm down, because quite frankly the repeated need to sooth noobs after I say my hello is quite irritating.

I just wanted to get my point across.

Joking or not, I can see how it would get irritating to have to repeatedly read the "soothing of the noobs" comments every time you greet someone. That type of thing can get old very quickly.

I think one time I remember a noob saying something like "Huh?" to what Lo said, and I said to them "lmao, don't worry, you'll get used to Lo's random comments." I dunno if that qualifies as soothing a noob right after you say hello, but if so, I'm sorry.

I really do love the way you say hello, and generally want to throw bricks at the person who posts after you and feels the need to say "Don't worry about her" or something of the sort.

I think Moonlight described my thoughts on this best in another thread:

QUOTE
I like Lolo's welcomes. I wish I could come up with welcome messages as creative as hers, but it would seem too much like I'm copying her and I don't want that. Neither would she probably. tongue.gif 'Tis just not me apparently.

I really wish I could stray from my usual "Hiya, and welcome to the forums happy.gif " but....I too think "Eek it looks like I'm copying Lo." lol. I mentioned something in another thread about The Fence, then felt the need to explain myself... tongue.gif

I haven't seen anyone scared off by her yet, so I don't think there's a need to explain the way she says hello at all. Maybe if a noob asks, but meh...that's about it I'd think.

"Soothing of the Noobs"...

The fourth and final chapter in the Hannibal Lectre Saga...

Starring... *

Lolo, You are the most creative, accessible, sweet, and zaniest person I met on the 'net.

And I am sure whatever was said wasn't meant to hurt you , and I can understand that sometimes sarcastic remarks tire in repetition.

Here Here... Cheers to the Lo meister!!! ....sip... ...Winks... how come you never around ??? tongue.gif

U adopted me and just realized I sorta went of on my own ... wow , dayum you're good!!!

Eat some chocolate, stop looking at yourself in the mirror obsessing over your new look, get a copy of the yaya sisterhood and lounge around away from the forums for a few...mental holiday, yanno?

...hugsss...
