well.. in honor of national poetry day...

palms flat against your skin
pushing as you pull me in
stares tangle from the emotion
watching the sun from beneath the ocean
music running through my head
notes and lyrics fled
explaining this feeling they provoke
twirls of fabric twists itself like smoke
parting your lips with a moan
unable to inhale for a instant, thrown
trapped in your gaze
rampant and transfixed by the sound of you ablaze
whispering your secret in my ear
your head rolling in my hands
neck exposed and wanting my teeth
lips drag over skin leaving my breath
it lingers over your flesh
wanting and needing more than I have
with a kiss we say goodnight

yes it be mine .. thank you..
*bows*
Here is two more for the road.. one very happy and one very angry.. two totaly diffrent styles... hummm... I think that say something about me... hehehe laugh.gif

the pounding

the pounding beneath your skin
lucid blue coursing through you like sin
flesh that rises up to gather me
soars and pulses, lost in a sea
detached from me I stare at you
every curve and arch painted in blue
hands trace the line up your spine
the weight of your eyes in mine
watching me as our bodies danced
your head tossed back, entranced
whirls of hair tracing your collarbone
exposing your slyness with a moan
engrossed by the force of your desire
tasting it spread through me like fire
you body tense
muscles stretched
hands searching for a hold, your touch etched
finding a hold on the back of my soul
grabbing
biting
searching
finding
mercury ebbing

cross bound

counterfeit blood
dries on your lips
as you stand alone
tattered and frayed
by your hands
you beg for it
there hearts
handed to you
your self-imposed torment
keeps you warm at night
my blood real copper
ready to fight
weary of this mandatory blame
you rain on the world
I tire of your tirades
before you begin to speak
f*ck you
the grit in those words
you abuse your gifts
while I brawl for mine
and you ask me why
my hands clinch and release
as a voice not mine
screams in a pitch to high
ripping and tearing
at the fabric of your lies
another one falls
as you pass your time
this legend I live
is not one of mine
but the truth of your lies
makes it a soothing kind
her heart still pumps
wrath through my veins
while your words
slice my lines
I tire of their worship
your constant need for approval
squandering their worlds
to erect yours
I tire of your game
my tokens spent
trying to keep you alive
just to hear
you ask me
why?

Oh! oh! I missed a lesson to listen to some poets! One was really, really funny, and everyone was alughing like crazy, he was really INSANE! He had the same stage manner that I used to have, and the other one was so........well, lets sjust say she was going on about sex all the time in her poetry, which she seemed quite surprised at, but kept going, trying to convince us that it wasn't. And her poems were only four lines long. Every time you got into one, she stopped!

Oh well, all I hyave to say is that if your school celebrates poetry day, STAY IN SCHOOL! If not.........either get yourself expelled or get into another one biggrin.gif

you bloody better stay mine gav or i shall smite thee with a spoon!

and in my opinion you should post the one you wrote in the hospice if you feel up to it, every one here is lovely and its a damn good poem. just a suggestion...

this be my contribution, youve read it already but noone else here has...it may be mince but i careth not...so there...argh...paranoid defensiveness of my bad writing... ph34r.gif

SACRIFICE

I sit here in a dark room and think of you
I cut open my arm tonight, in my head it’s your fault
The metal still burns a brand on my broken skin
My blood is all that tells me I’m still alive

My life is a mosaic
I jump between the glittering shards of your approval
Always watching, wary of your rejection
And then I plummet, torn and ripped on your cold rage

My dependence disgusts me
A parody of what I once was
Hating you for what you do to me
Loving you despite myself

You slip, unseen, through the shadows of my mind
There is no escape for me now
You permeate every part of me
Nothing is sacred

So here I am a tainted shrine to my own obsession
A scarred temple
A broken testament
To your painful indifference

--------------------
Little solace comes to those who grieve
When thoughts keep drifting
As walls keep shifting
And this great blue world of ours
Seems a
house of leaves

Depressing poetry annoys me, it's so much more of a challenge to write something that's all happy and joyful and stuff without being corny, my uberly fun best friend wrote me a really groovy poem for chistmas which I'll post if I can find the card. Sadly I'm really crap at poetry but I'm crap at anything to do with language or getting my thoughts out of my head...

it all depends on your mood.. dark poetry.. sad poetry takes something out of you.. like purging almost... happy, upbeat poetry is a marker on the day.. like taking a photo. Just my opinion of course. I think the hardest to write is a poem that touches a serious issue. I have one that I wrote about friend who is going through some serious mental issues... not just to say "I am going crazy".. but she really slipped off the deep end.. like straight jacket nuts. It wasn't a sad thing...cause it was the natural progression of her life.. but it damn sure wasn't a happy one. This is how it came out..

for my friend....

sitting and spinning in your light
little girls lost in summer
reflective in your looking glass
waiting for the days to pass
a smile for the imitations
pondering the wit of your limitations
looking to the dark corner for consolation
finding nothing but cobwebs and empty sensation
shadows creek the boards of memory
reminding you of your private tragedy
ghosts pulse and surge the passages
caught in flat paper ink traps
their subtle swirls and loops
mark the beginning and ends
passengers on your train
of a empty Pullman cars
your tear-streaked cheeks press the glass
watching your eyes in the window
looking for your beam of sunlight to ride
to where youll find a safe place to lie
the glare from the sun hides the sadness
keeps you warm as you embrace your greatness
your complex paradox of colors and schemes
tasting the pinks, blues, and greens
the angry reds and the happy yellows
of last nights bad dreams

well, here goes nothing i suppose! rawr! ph34r.gif

Among the Blossoms

The incomprehensable
A chasmic void, never to be filled
The endless tears escaping reality
The call of primal emotion
The hark of unknowing.
A thousand years will never numb this pain.
An evil so old it is time itself
the lull of unwanted serenades wash upon me
Sadness but a forgotten memory.
Ripped at the seams, a waste of love.
A power greater than fear, extinguished in one act.
Love, simple words, hewn in the granite of our lives.
A predatory act destroys all that was ever safe
Children denied a mother, husband denied a wife
Family denied a member, world denied of you
Unreasonable loss, worsened by nausea
Nausea at the thought of eternity
An eternity devoid of you.
My coping mechanism, my safety blanket,
Ripped apart by the barbed ways of life.
A spectator in a world wreaked with death.
The seeds of a tree are sown at this point.
Emnity poisons its way through a once stable system,
Cut-throat nature comes into force
Emotions run raw, heighteneed by grief and guilt.
A sapling is growing at this point.
Reclusive actions of a broken home,
Rage runs through me, and unbanked river.
Fuelled by the pain of your release.
An apple tree has matured at this point.
An apple of discord thrown amongst us,
An endless fight among the blossoms.

rawr.... hope ye all like....
