Hiya,

Thanks for mentioning it. I have been made aware of this but I've not had the chance to sort it out yet unfortunately, but cheers for reminding me!

I've now downloaded Opera and it looks like it is having problems with two of the parameters parsed in the HTML, the 'wmode' that makes the background for the Flash menu elements transparent and the one that handles the sizing of the menu bars.

The trouble is that at the moment I'm not quite sure what to do about this!

The transparency thing is infinitely likely to remain a problem, as it depends on a fiendishly smart bit of programming linking browser with operating system: advantage Microsoft, therefore it only ever works on Internet Explorer.
The other problem is likely to be a similar case ... Microsoft are like that ....

Hmm. So there's not likely to be a way around this? That's a shame, still, it doesn't look _too_ bad, and it's unlikely that anyone using Opera won't be aware that some sites might not appear as intended due to the browser.

The latest stats from my site show 93.88% of people are using IE, (70% are using IE6) and 6.12% are using Netscape, meaning that the number of people currently using Opera is so small that they don't register on the chart. While this is not a reason to dismiss the group it does mean that while I've got more pressing (and solvable!) things to concentrate on I'll be working on those instead.

Netscape still has occasional issues with indenting things, overlapping sig pictures on top of the posts below them, and completely substituting the posts of one person into the av/sig of another.

I'd use IE and quit worrying about it, but I'm too stuck-up for that. Besides, when I get my Mac in the spring, I'll have Safari to work with, and then we'll see what the forum looks like... Hmmm...
