Earlier this year, I realized I was in love with my best friend. She knows because secrets pass through my group too fast, and because I haven't asked, hasn't told me how she feels. Tonight I decided to tell her, but am freaked out about it. Please help...

This is also posted in Issues, But I think I put that in the wrong place...

It's not uncommon to fall in love with good friends, in fact some of the best relationships come from that kind of thing. Also, a friend will usually be able to politely say no without too much damage to the friendship, just make sure you give her a 'get out' clause, so that she could decline without it being the end of the world.

However, if you are also female I can see how that might be more complicated, people do get rather funny about that kind of thing, but until you say either way on this one I think we'll leave that whole big kettle of fish closed.

i think it could go in issues or here really, but hey, i wouldn't know smile.gif
maybe you ought to tell her yourself, cause if she's heard and you haven't told her she might be feeling very awkward...if you're going to say anything, don't try too hard to plan ahead, it'll muck up; just go with the flow...cliche tongue.gif
seriously though, i hope you can and it doesn't cause too much problematic stuff *hugs*

Update!

I talked to her last night after quite a bit of help from Shelly, and other random people. When I asked, I found out not only she does feel the same way, she's felt it for as long as me.

Me and my boyfriend got together after i ran up to him at Sixth Form pulled the waistband of my trousers forward (they were far to big) and i told him i needed a new man to fit in my trousers.

I presumed he would think i was weird (we barely spoke from ages 4 to 17) but instead he took me home to sit on his garden swingy chair and eat pizza.

Awwwww *massive hugs* sorry to hear that honey! sad.gif Men can be a right royal pain in the butt sometimes. Goodness knows that Ed has been a real arse (at his own admission) in the past but he's much better now and it took a long time for some of my friends to realise he had changed for the better.

At the end of the day it's up to you. Do what makes you happy! smile.gif You know we are here for you.

Back on topic.....er.....no real advice for you Gabbie. That's a tough one. Without knowing if it's a bloke or girl it's difficult to tell.

Well yeah that goes without saying but most of them learn how to wash properly when they get older biggrin.gif

What difference would it make if you told her? Would it ease your feelings and make her feel worse? Would it make her feel better? If you told her and she rejected you would you feel crapper than you would if you stayed quiet?
