A fairly new community I was involved in creating. It is a forum much like this place but also has some other features which include:
Media Gallery: Thousands of funny videos, pictures, and audio clips. Also every member gets webspace to host their own images in their own gallery. Jokes Database: A interactive joke database allows you to read or add jokes in different categories. Each joke you add ups your post count and enters you in a content to win T-shirts, bumper stickers or other hereyah swag. Arcade: hundreds of games in different categories. Once upon a time, many years ago, a man called Tim Berners-Lee invented the Internet. Or he might not have done. But let's say he did, just for the sake of argument.
Then, for a long time, people used modems and Netscape. Great sites were rare and people mainly played with IRC. And then broadband arrived and there were lots of websites. Yeah, it was kind of sad to have to disband the site. But stuff happens. I'm thinking this relaunch might be like the relaunch of the Wispa bar, in that those who remembered it first time around might get all nostalgic, buy one and then recall why it fell out of favour against the Aero. And those who are new to it might not appreciate what made it so special in the first place.
