No, funnily enough ( rolleyes.gif )
I thought people would recognise my British accent, but people kept asking us where we were from. No requests for Monty Python quotes or anything like that. Quite dissapointing really dry.gif

I'll have some photo's when I get round to scanning some of them. Which could be a while. Turns out, my camera is shite so the photo's came out kind of dark sad.gif
I did get a lovely photo of the cinderella castle though. (Yes, I got sucked into the 'Disney-esque' swing of things. I had my tourist hat on throughout the holiday)

So, do Ozzy people wow at your British accent Jon?

Eh? Ozzy people? Well, I guess a few of them remarked on it when I was in Perth, and hardly any noticed in Sydney, as the place is crawling with British.

I used to get it all the time when I'd be out and about in Seattle - still do to a certain extent. S'kinda fun.

Thats the one. I think you were in Oz last time I asked.
Was it in Oz when you had to escape the burning plane whilst limping?

Nah, that was just over a year ago in Hawaii. I was on a different test airplane in Oz that fortunately didn't catch on fire.

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. I hear it's quite the big thing in Hollywood.

Or I could be thinking of acid skin-peels. It's definitely one of the two.

On my flight from LA to Hawaii once I sat next to two honeymooners. The bloke asked me where I was from and I said England. His response was "WOW! I love your accent!" His wife turned to us both and said "Honey, she thinks you're the one with the accent!" laugh.gif Other than that I didn't get any comments at all. No one said anything in SF last year either. Apparently though I'll get lots of comments in NY? unsure.gif

Acid skin peels?

Sounds painful. And rather un-natural unsure.gif

What's unnatural about scoffing down a bucketload of LSD, and tripping your nuts off for hours, trying to pick imaginary bits of skin off? Those crazy Hollywood-types, eh?

Nah....not too bad. A lot of people might just ask where you're from. A lot of people with varied accents used to come into where I worked, and it was usually only the really vocal old ladies (like my grandmother in law) who said something to them..lol. So watch out for any woman over 40 who is plowing through pedestrians with a shopping cart.

Of course, I'm too shy myself to say anything...but I was probably staring when people came in who spoke with an accent, completely fascinated. I know I was at least thinking "Ooh! Talk more talk more!"

Why would they be imaginary bits of skin? blink.gif

You know, there are times in this place when I wonder how the hell we get into some of these conversation...and then I remember... You're all blummin' nuts!
