short lines
make everything meaningful rhyme schemes are for losers scansion? meter? fuck off i'm original notice the lower case? that's originality, bitch anyway blood and also angst death and similar sentiments grief settles over me like a dark shroud of darkness and grief when will i find a girlfriend who shares my love for vampire: the masquerade? doomed to agony and loneliness and did i mention grief? yes grief also there is nobody like me in the world nope so alone and yet interestingly unique in a sort of anne rice way like everyone hates me but because i'm so cool and secretly they all want to be like me plus i'm a vampire no, really stop laughing i'll suck your fucking blood oh man this poem is good so much emotion and grief i'm so creative that must be why everyone hates me i'm going to cry alone now i had to tell you that or you might not pay any attention to me goodbye cruel world -------------------- Every sort of expert knowledge and every inquiry, and similarly every action and undertaking, seems to seek some good. Hey dude that was a good poem...
-------------------- >(|||> Pround owner of the Uber-carrot! Ph34r it! Come closer. . . so I can slap the sh*t out of you! . . . do I LOOK like a friggin people person? Bumper stickers are so lame. . . Bumper STICKS are where it's at! You should duct tape a stick to your bumper and be like me!
. . . I'm hearing voices but all they do is complain. . . What if I had a mustard-drenched cucumber tied to my leg and I did not want my pants to get dirty? Ya better checkety-check yourself before ya wreckety-wreck yourself! Once you finally create something original, someone comes along and steals it. . . not to say that's a BAD thing. . . |

Ah, goth poetry. Here's a golden oldie from the forums. This was posted in what I think may have been the first poetry thread, back on 27th Feb, 2003:
Like an obsidian moon, So soon, My soul, Is like a hole. Or an empty bowl. But not like a mole. Except that it is blind, Other similarities, You will not find, Between my soul, And a mole. Except that it is also black, Deep black, And dark. And comes out at night. And digs up lawns. Damn, I really need to animate that someday. -------------------- Trouble Down Pit: Still updated every Monday and Friday

What is it that you're suggesting, Pat? That I can't seem to resist making things overly long and complicated? I mean... I only thought about doing a series of images about the evolution of the sheep species in the Brother Black Sheep animation for a few days before I realised I could do the same thing with about 15 words...

haha yes, but now you need to see my poem of greatness. How deep and dark my poem is. Ready for it? Right! Here it comes!: The end. See, my poem is really nothing, fathom that. Wow, deep - huh? QUOTE (Mata @ Sep 15 2004, 01:11 AM) I'm suggesting that your poem could be used to make a filler animation for when you're making big new ones....in fact, you could make a whole series of them, her (LGG) standing in a spot light with a mic, a beret and a pair of sun glasses with some arty farty bongo drums type thing, I'd like to hear what sues could make of jonman's one and the great thing is, the animation wouldn't have to be anything spectacular...well it would be good, but there's nothing esspecially complicated about sarah standing in front of a mic....as long as you don't insist on lip syncing it and, what's better is that you could get forumites to submit them to save you the creative hassle, go on, you know you want to -------------------- He's a freak of nature, but we love him so.
