My boyfriend wants me to cut school with him. I know I shouldn't, but he claims we don't spend enough time together. What should I do? Should I follow my instincts or try to make him happy?

You really shouldn't go against your own feelings of what is right and wrong to make him happy. If you feel that it is a mistake cutting class, then dont do it. Just try to make it up to him another time.

Perhaps its the protective big brother in me, but you shouldn't let him pressure you into doing things that you don't want to do. Be your own girl smile.gif

Agreed with all the above. You are your own person, and if you feel uncomfortable doing something don't do it. You can spend time together, it just has to be made. Not that way though. Tell him you'd prefer not to, that you can make time some other time.

Everything will be fine smile.gif

don't do it! if you do it once, he might expect you to do it again, and it'll be harder to say no after the first time, as he can chuck the "you did it before" line at you. i started not going to occasional lessons now i'm in sixth form, and it really didn't do me any good cause i miss at least one a week now sad.gif
like spunky said, follow your instincts *hugs*

Seems that missing a day a week is a trend here! I'm so happy I'm not the only one afraid of commitment.

School is important, and your friends should never pressure you into doing something even slightly uncomfortable for you. Especially your boyfriend. He should understand that.

Follow your instincts. If he truely loves you and cares for you he'll understand and won't want to pressure you into doing anything that you don't want to do. It's best to go with what your gut tells you, especially if the alternative could get you into major trouble.

Then again there's something to be said for living a little and making mistakes. Some people learn the hard way. But if you feel that you'll regret it and you'll be worrying the whole entire time then there's no point in going out and trying to have a good time when you're already down is there?

From someone who almost ended up dropping out of Uni over a guy who wanted to spend more time with me during the day my advice is that if he cares about you he wouldn't want you to skip lessons, otherwise he's just being selfish.

You have evenings and weekends, that's how the majority of us have to manage our social and love lives. I know that you can feel that you want to spend every waking hour together but you just have to be ruled by your heart as well as your head.

Good luck, I hope you work it out.

Bel.

UPDATE: It's almost like he forgot about it. But we're starting to have disagreements on other things too.. such as flirting with others. We're trying hard to understand each other, and I guess it's working.
