yeah.. im back.. im not sure if many people noticed that i was gone, since i havent been posting long, but yeah.. anywho..

i have a random question.. cause i've gotten this a lot lately.. so i need opinions..
what makes someone a "poser" ? is it the way they dress, and if so, how would one dress? im just very confused, because i've been called it a lot lately, so i thought i would ask..
i personally dont think im a poser, but i want to know what one is.. thanks youses.

a poser is someone who pretends theyre something theyre not.

example: if you claimed to be a pink floyd fan but hadnt heard a single song besides the Wall, or if you claimed to be a goth because you listen to evanesence and dress all in black.

ok.. so if you dress in like.. all black (baggy pants, fishnet shirt or something) one day and not all black (jeans and a t shirt or something) then next, does that make me a poser? and if so, what am i posing as?

Depends if you called yourself a Goth the first time (ie all in black, fishnets).

well, not really. simple minded people will think so. but those simple minded people are the ones who are posers as they view "goth" or something similar as merely a fashion choice.

these are the types of people who will go into long winded descriptions of their tatooes and piercings. biggrin.gif

basically, if you arent dishonest, you arent a poser.

If you are wearing them because that is who you are and you like it then good for you and a pat on the back. I always get yelled at from strangers and called 'Goth' or 'Grungy' because of my dress style but being Gothic is in my mind not anything to do with clothing, its about the personality, and grunge is a word I dispise.

It happens to a lot of people. As MrEastwood said its just narrowminded simpletonness. I really have no specific label I can fit nicely into and be stacked along side everyone else and I'm okay with that.
