Moi! Moi!

Teacher time!

QUOTE (Mata)

The first-person form of comprendre is comprends.

Je ne parlais pas is "I wasn't speaking". "I can't speak it" would be je ne peux pas le parler.

QUOTE (Patient #212)

As above, je comprends, but the rest I think is fine.

QUOTE (Aria)

Since it's a plural, it should be mon vocabulaire et grammaire ne sont pas bien.

"I have been studying French in school for seven years" is j'apprends francais en ecole depuis sept annee, that's just one of those things (it's also why the French often say in English "I am learning English for...").

Disclaimer: While I'm pretty sure that's all right, any of it may be wrong since I no longer study French.

Minor point: the second-to-last word should be "langue", not "lange".

The first-person form of comprendre is comprends.

Je ne parlais pas is "I wasn't speaking". "I can't speak it" would be je ne peux pas le parler.

... I think Mata was going for "... but I don't speak it" which would be "mais je ne le parle pas" ... also it's "Je comprends un peu de Français" or at worst "je comprends un peu le Français" ....

QUOTE (Commie)
QUOTE (Patient #212)

As above, je comprends, but the rest I think is fine.

... as Polocrunch mentioned, it's "langue" ... but also nobody would ever say "c'est une langue belle" ... it'd be "c'est une belle langue" ... Also "étude" needs to be plural ... Also it needs a "que" before "c'est une" ... as in "I think that it is"

QUOTE (Commie)

YAY! ... it is GREAT fun to correct Commie ...

Wow, I really haven't spoken it in months o_O It was mandatory in school, but I've not had occasion to speak it for...nine months. Amazing the stuff you forget.
