Okay, so I've been gone for about three weeks since school got out because I've been helping my mother unpack our crap here at the new condo. In this time, she had to have some repairs made to her car, so while we were over by all of the car dealerships, we just decided to take mine in as well.
My car is a 1999 Toyota Corolla, so it isn't that old. I had bought it about a year and a half ago, and it had previously been owned by some guy that didn't really care about it. When I got it, it over steered and shook a wee bit at high speeds, but it wasn't anything too big since I had just gotten it. So now that I've had it, I change the oil religiously and keep everything operating as smoothly as I can. But in the past few months, the thing has started shaking like a hairless dog on a cold day whenever I get up to 65, and whenever the heater is turned on high, it makes this awful buzzing noise. So I take it in to the shop on Saturday and get a call about it yesterday: In the heater, they found napkins, toothpicks, money, and a plastic spoon among other relatively large objects. So now they have to order a new heater. Way to rack my bill up another couple hundred bucks  Now, I can see maybe pennies or something falling into the vents, but a napkin doesn't just magically fall into a car vent. Neither does a plastic spoon. What sort of twisted bastard puts napkins into a heating vent??? Ugh...so moral of the story for everyone: don't shove random things into important parts of your car. -------------------- Come away! O human child,

how much money was in the heater? any drugs?

Heh...gave me a chuckle too after I really thought about it. I mean, plastic spoons? What the hell???
I'm not sure how much money it was because it was all mangled...some random pennies and ripped up paper bills, but nothing huge. Oh, and there were used tissues. Score! And as of yet, there have been no drugs found (thank goodness) but geez...that would suck if I were trying to inconspicuously cross any borders

It may not have been the previous owner who did it. I've killed 17 people so far for filling my car with crap, and I've not even driven it for 4 years.

Meh...It most likely is the other guy though since we've been the only two people to own that car...I'm anal retentive about what goes into my car, mostly because when I was growing up, my mom's car looked like a rolling landfill. I remember I dropped a battery into a small slot in a rental van by mistake when I was 8, and I was paranoid for the rest of the trip that I was going to blow up the van, so I get really nervous about things going into places in the car that they shouldn't...and since no one else owned the car before this other guy, it probably wasn't me. At least, I don't remember stuffing any used tissues down the heating vents. It's one of my tics, keeping the car spotless. Hell, since we moved I haven't been able to sufficiently wash it and it's been killing me...gah! I'm such a dork...But thanks, gothic sweetie...I'll send you some lovely cakes out of gratitude.  If the tissues were used, gosh I hope it's just crusty nose remnants...I'd hate to think of that creepy guy getting down with his bad self in that poor car. Ick...
