Is conformity, consumption, and obedience really that bad?

I figured I'd add a positive element to Daily Life, and if anyone cares about the saga of the past few months, it's come to a conclusion, and I am much the better for it.

Sure, my grades dropped rather poorly in several classes, but there's nothing I can do to change that now except remote last touches (only one full week of school left). With the person in question we've settled things, and our social friendship is slowly, but i no longer feel anxious around her. Although it will take quite a long time for things to return to normal and the more personal friendship won't come back, this is quite an improvement. I still have yet to acheive my goal of staying happy for a week, I'm feeling next week could be it.

So, things have worked out. I can't find anything else to worry about, finals are soon and while I still have to study heavily I refuse to "worry". I'll be away for six weeks this summer and intend to escape life and enjoy it.

I want to give a tremendous "thank-you" to everyone who was kind enough to help me in my time of need, and the road to reclaiming my life looks rather bright.

Yay for you! Nice one, I'm really pleased that things are working out.

Best wishes with the studying. I've had my head down doing my thesis for a few month so I know how that feels, but there's always a point when you know that it will be over. All we can do is give it our best shot and not to worry about it.
