I was confused by the title of Ri's thread, so I thought, "Hey, I'll add to the confusion!" And so here we are.

This is the other sort of tipping - of cows. Have you ever done it? Did it give you a rush? Would you do it again?

I myself have never had the pleasure of being able to tip a cow, but it is the dream that I dream of. How 'bout you, toots?

Is it cruel? I'm slightly worried that the cows can't get up, or that they suffer injury when they fall.

And yay! Another person with fields and cows aplenty but no history of cow-tipping!

I'm not sure it's the kindest of things to do to a cow but I've never heard of cow tipping deaths! dry.gif

Okay, okay. I really ought to read BEFORE I vote. laugh.gif
I've voted that I'm a cow tipper but in fact have never done so nor have I been near enough to a cow to do so.
Great now I've Mata's recommended madness "I'm a cow" running through my head. dry.gif

I don't think it's possible to tip a cow. Apparently they've got great balance. And plus, one normal sized person only weighs like, 1/5 of a cow? How much do they weigh? I unno, more than 600 do you think? I don't think it's possible.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure they don't get up. I think they sleep standing up or kneeling. I could be wrong.

It is possible to tip a cow, but you need a lot of friends with you to do so.

The cows can and do get up once they are pushed over. I've never heard of any being injured. More often, I've heard of the kids being injured from barbed wire (not seriously hurt...just a few scratches).

No, I've never tipped cows, but I live (and went to high school) in rural Eastern Oregon. There are a lot of ranches and a lot of bored teenagers. You do the math.

*tentatively raises hand*

Um... I've tried, while extremely inebriated, with friends. I'm not sure we would have succeeded, it was a good idea at the time.

The cow ran away.

Well, next time, I'll read the thread before voting.

No, I've never tipped a cow. Probably wouldn't, either, though it doesn't stop me from joking about it happy.gif

I do, however, have a great cow-tipping story from a friend.

He and his friends (I can't remember if they were drunk...) decided to go cow-tipping outside Chicago. So, they go out, and find a cow to tip. And they try, and they try, and they try, but they can't manage to get hte cow to fall over.

Well, eventually the cow gets pissed, and turns on the cow-tippers, literally chasing them across the field. Unfortunately, one the cow-tippers gets caught on the fence...

And gets hit full-on by the cow. Which sends the poor soul flying outward and into the ground.

The guy was okay, as was the now satisfied cow.

And that is probably why I will never tip a cow. Knowing my luck, I would get run down by a furious rampaging bovine ^_~

See, you can't just push. You gotta put your shoulder into it! laugh.gif

And it's probably best if it's dry out. Mud is not your friend in this situation. tongue.gif

With the trauma it causes the cow, I think, they can't produce milk again for a while.

But I'd still do it unsure.gif
