When you're out and about - what is your alchoholic drink of choice? I want reasons too.

Generally, I'm a Stella Artois drinker - goes down smooth and gives me no hangover.

However, ultimate favourite will be a Jack Daniels, with coke (or striaght or any way you want to dress it actually biggrin.gif ).

What about you guys?

Out and about, it's usually a cider and black. Actually, it's always a cider and black. I know what I like, me. Just like the flavour, I suppose.

When I'm at home or a restaurant, though, it's red wine. A much more complicated and interesting flavour than the aforementioned.

Gin & Tonic, all the way.

Also, Rum & Coke, Vodka straights (Jaq! Drain Cleaner!), beer of various varieties, and occassionally fruity girly drinks.

But mostly Gin & Tonic.

Whatever gets put in front of me. So long as no-one's urinated in it.

On hot days, gin and tonic is teh win. Cold evenings brings on the single malt whisky (Scottish for me, please...) and the Guinness. Posh events call for red wine, or port for the really upmarket evening (with a cigar, natch).

However, give me a bottle of vodka, and access to anything that can be described as a mixer, and I'll be a happy guzzler.

So anything, then. I'm versatile. Just not Pernod. Or Ouzo. Gak...

I can't drink for multiple reasons. For the rest of my life, when the guys and I go to bars, I'll be ordering either a Coke or a Dr. Pepper. My brother throws back shots of vodkee like it's nothing and he's only 17. He also likes those wussy beers like Skyy Blue and Bacardi Silver.

Just not Pernod.

Its actually quite nice with water (how its ment to be drunk), my housemates put lemonade with it....it goes an evil yellow colour....i don't like that....as the colour suggests...its evil >_>

I like my beer, Carlsberg (Export prefereable) or Kronenberg 1664 are the favourites...i've never had to choose between them though...strange really. Anywho, I like my Southern Comfort with coke (or lemonade and ice if its a hot day) I like my wines, nice ones though, I'm a bit of a snob like that, i realised this when my housemates thought 10 for a bottle in a restaurent was expensive....though they drink what i would classify as piss anyway (cheap white wine), like Inky I'll drink anything, depends on my mood, the occasion and how much is in my wallet....though I do go for quality over getting sh1t faced

malibu and coke- it's all coconutie and fizzy, great combo.
gin and tonic- sweet and slightly bitter. also it's medicinal, so i can pretend that i'm being all healthy while i'm getting pissed! cool.gif
swiss chocolate almond liquor and milk- way better than chocolate milk.
sangria- a perfect light summer drink.

Well... if I wanna get drunk, then just give me some vodka straight. But my favourite drink would probably have to be strawberry daquoris (sp). Hmm. they taste so good, virgin or tanted with booze, it's good either way. I also like smirnoff ice, I could drink those all day and that jewish blackberry wine maniswitchz or something.

I've never actually tried a strawberry daiqua-whatever. I've wanted to since I found out that Terry Pratchett loves them.

yeah, funny that, but the last time i tried a new drink was because i heard about it from reading a preface to one of David Gemmel's books (i forget which one). He described how he had come up with an idea for one of his characters after lots of late night hotel-porn and half a dozen absynthes. I wondered how a person could get as drunk as he described on only six drinks, so i went out and tried absynthe for myself.

Oh dear...

As for my usual tipple? I think most of those who know me well could say the words with me: Whiskey and Guinness. biggrin.gif

You lucky lucky woman. I used to not get hangovers, but I do now.

But my favorite lager is Kronenbourg 1664 it just tastes better than other beers & I have a couple of favourite liqueurs including Pernod & black (I have a drink of water in the morning & I'm off again) Baileys (so sweet, and on it's own doesn't get me drunk)

Has anyone tried those new sour type drinks like Mickey Finns?

I'm usually the one with the nonalcoholic drink as I'm usually working the next day and usually get hungover easily.

So the maybe twice a year that I drink I like rum & coke, or a coffee liquer called Sheridans that comes in two seperate bottles that automatically mix as you pour.

The best expensive drink I like would probably be aged brandy. I once owned a bottle of 15 year old brandy. Happyness.

Last but not least are the wines made by friends of mine (M&M and Error). They know who they are. He also made a very nice hazelnut liquer (sp?).

I don't drink. Three reasons:

1. I'm underage.

2. I want to keep my liver.

3. I do enough stupid crap without junk in my system.

I'm not in this thread.. oh no I'm not.

I am the biggest fan of gold star ever alive.. yumyum. And if I am refused gold star for no reason (or perhaps because I am chronically underage) then malt star does me just fine.

I do like red wine and bourbon, but thats about it. I have tried koolaide mixed with vodka aka Kentucky ( I can't think of the next word, but its not a good idea to put it on the board...smile.gif ).

I don't drink, but only a few times a year and sometimes during church. . . .

Absenyth? Isn't that the liquor aged in Wormwood, so it's potentially deadly, and was therefore outlawed in several countries? blink.gif why not go all the way, and use it to wash down some Fugu, while you're at it?
