I noticed The Lorax write about the teletubbies in the arch enemies thread, and it immediately made me think of one thing: Boobahs. Now I have nothing against teletubbies, i mean, yay for tubby-tustard and all that, but Boobahs? Evil. They genuinely creep me out, which is not something I say very often. I've actually seen the program once or twice, and it makes me all tense to watch it. The things are horrible. They have evil eyes, do strange and evil things, and they fly(in an evil way, i might add). I just don't get how little children could like them. One of my friends agrees that they are horrible, so I know it just can't be me. For those of you that don't know what a Boobah is, behold evil in it's fluffiest form...
(and comment. Don't forget to comment)

This is Jumbah.
I am convinced that it kills kittens.
It must be stopped.

You are not alone there Green Eyes, my sister is absolutly petrifyed by them. She can't even walk past them in Woolies. No lie. She also hates cotton wool, the feel, the sound (?). Just the though of touching cotton wool drains the colour from her face.

That reminds me of an interesting conversation I had about them. Genitals were mentioned.

I don't like any of these kiddies show thingies. I mean Teletubbie, Boohbah -they're not even real words. mad.gif I cannot convey how detrimental I think these shows are for kids.

We're going to get all the cult classics on DVD and make our son watch those instead - he WILL be bred on Button Moon, Pigeon Street and Bagpuss.

I haven't seen the program you mention, but Teletubbies is quite disturbing anyhow. I allow their existence because they have to be there for Stewie to curse at and claim redemption from, but I mean...

What could be worse? I hear evil voices that say "Out of the Box!"...

Thank goodness we have wholesome shows like Blue's Clues and Little Bear and Arthur for children's TV! (Okay, I admit it, I never really watch Arthur. But he is an aardvark.)

No wonder kids today are corrupted!

Nah, see I don't have a real problem with any of the others.
Teletubbies = Vaguely amusing the first time, and probably entertaining to children
Tweenies = Fantastically annoying, but vaguely educational (to 3 year olds)
Fimbles = Comedic material for Dead Ringers ("and where do you think they will shove that flom-umbrella?")

It's just the Boobahs. I think it's an evil plot by the mafia, or the BBC. What happens is, you see the sparkly lights, and are intrigued, then you see coloured blobs with evil eyes dancing. You become scared. Then they suddenly fly, and you are so shocked you freeze in your chair, paralysed with fear. Meanwhile, goons break into your house and steal your stuff. Also kidnapping kittens to feed to the evil boobahs.

Are these not the cursèd angels of Beelzebub himself?

I remember Rosie and Jim. They had a duck.

*wanders down memory lane*

Wait a sec, Rosie and Jim kidnap kittens? They work for the Boobahs!

Heh, I've only seen the show once, acctually, and it was after the last day of school for me and I walked home in the heat with my friend so I wasnt really paying attention.... I was scared though.... they danced.... like some alien dance thing.... over and over and over again. Scary.

My friends like them though. It makes them feel like they're on Acid (or so they say) Because of all the 'preety rainbows' . Its all my fault though. I wear too much rainbow. They get obsessed. MEEP! I'VE TURNED MY FRIENDS INTO MONSTER BOOBAH LOVING THINGS!

Save me

Osmosis is the diffusion of water across a semi-permeable membrane. It is not possible to consume a kitten by osmosis.

/off topic

They would have to eat them by diffusion tongue.gif

Yes.. the scariest part is when they dance with hardcore hip action. And then it goes to each one.. and each one does the shifty eye thing and then bobs its head. blink.gif No joke.. it's scary, I wasn't terrified, but it gave me an odd amount of adriniline (sp) just sitting there..

I can honestly say that I have never tried to diffuse my cat. But this is getting out of focus. Do we, or do we not, think that Boobahs absorb cute, furry animals?
