So on Thursday, for those of us who have just finished the 2 years of hormones, classes and b*tching known as GCSEs, our results arrive. I am terrified, not least because if I don't get As or A*s in most of my classes I'm gonna be flamed and I don't think I did as much work as I should have done. So... As I'm being selfish and refusing to suffer alone, aside from Greeneyes and me, who else is waiting on results? And am I the only nervous one?

•HUGS• You are not the only one who is nervous about exam results m'dear!! Fortunately for me, I live in Scotland so I already have the old Higher/Adv Higher results! All I can say is: good luck, I'm sure you will do just fine and remember - You Are Not Alone!

Good Luck to Gothic Angel and all the other GCSE-result anticipating people!

Hugs,

Fal xXx

Ah, there there, it'll be okay! The only other way I can reassure you is the pessimist's way, which is there isn't anything you can do about your scores NOW, so stop worrying. tongue.gif Anyways, here, you and Guy have a cookie or two. I know you two and everyone else will do fab. smile.gif

Yeah but some of them are double grades. Like science. And things like dance and stuff are seperate GCSEs tongue.gif

Fantastic, well done! That's better than I did at GCSE level. I got 3 a's, 3 b's, 3 c's, and a D. Don't ask me what they were in, because I'm not sure I can remember (which bodes well for my chances of actually remembering any of the lessons, doesn't it?). Oh, unless you're going to be in a picture made of accumulated scraps you might want to go to college instead. wink.gif

they should be alright.. considering I've been really disorganised and still aren't entirely sure what I want to do. (But its definately not going to be involving chemistry!) sad.gif I'm thinking of retaking a module each of psychology and chemistry (C and D) and try to aim for ABB at the end of A2 with a C in the chemistry AS. But that would mean lots of working hard.. so not sure yet.

heh, this'll make you all feel better, at GCSE I got, 3 b's 4 c's and 2 d's (english language and literature....curse them...)

at A-level (get this, its really rather funny....but also sad) I got 2 D's in Performing Arts (i did it for the music but I still had to act and...well...sorta dance....f****** c****** w***** bar-stewards (i wasn't happy about that as you can probably tell) oh, and I got an E in A/s Media Studies....bloody nazi english teacher from New Zealand taught us....she didn't like me for some reason...probably the lack of effort on the homework front....well....morning-of-the-day-it-had-to-be-in-work as i treated it, funny thing is I'm still at university and doing reasonably well...shame some of the lecturers aren't very good...and the lack of studio time...but still, it's a lot of fun biggrin.gif

anyway, while that might look like i'm saying you can coast through life doing in the minimum possible, i'm actually saying, put you're back into it!! its easy when you think about it....oh and do think carefully about further/higher education, its not as free as it used to be so try to be sure you're doing something you really really want to do, I've had one or two doubts on this front and its not a nice feeling.... =/
