Also how is it humanly possible 2 cook + eat a stack of pancakes, waffles + evryfin else before skool/work? We r very confused as all we eat 4 breakfast is toast/cereal or nufin at all, there's just no time. huh.gif

I think my brain just exploded. Ow.

In America, a waffle is just like a pancake, but with reservoirs for your syrup.

Also, where I live, potatoes are often eaten at breakfast. Hash Browns and Breakfast Fries. Mmm.

Ah but in Ireland potatoes are an international cuisine. Sad 2 hear about your brain, but we needed 2 no this information, it was life or death. Wudnt a potato make u sik in the morning + wots all this bout fries/chips 4 breakfast, that's just not normal. Now we r even more confused. But thanx ne way.

No, the site itself is English, as are many of its denizens. Waffles are odd batter things. Also, I have already commented in another of your threads about text-speak, specifically that it is not allowed.

Good thing I don't live in Ireland then, eh? And the question didn't hurt my brain, your typing did. And potatoes don't make you sick in the morning. It is normal. Don't get me started on steaks for breakfast.

Potatoes might be fine for breakfast, occasionally, but I draw the line at steak.....

Ugh. Steak for breakfast.... breakfast is supposed to be a *light* meal! Besides, steak is a dinner and *possibly* lunch food... at least for me. Do *you* eat steaks for breakfast, Stan?

Maybe for you Yankees it's a light meal, but down here, all meals are heavy. tongue.gif Yeah, I have. Well, not steak as you're thinking, but chicken fried steak. I hardly eat breakfast anymore. Most of my breakfasts consist of a smoke and Mountain Dew.

you get waffles in Copenhage - and eat them at street cafes in the snow served with jam and crean and hot chocolate.

Norwich has a woffles only resturant 'The Woffle House' which is fantastic.

hungry now - going to go find jaffa cakes...

Did this topic need to be made? Couldn't you have just posted this as a reply to the pancakes vs. waffle debate?

But that's not the point. What one eats for breakfast (I, personally, prefer beef jerky, honey roasted peanuts and Mountain Dew which most would call... not breakfast) is totally up to them. How they were brought up and their local surroundings also influences - i.e. Irish Guy, Riteous, and Myself (all being from or living in the south) have had potatoes for breakfast fairly often, or at least see it as normal.

Next, please learn to spell and type. Reading your post made me cringe... I never thought it was possible to have bad penmenship OVER THE INTERNET.

A waffle is a pastry like thing. It's made with batter, like as said before, a pancake.

You're a strange cookie in my part of the world gerbs. I usually eat my heaviest meal at breakfast so that it can last me longer through the day when I'm using the most of my energy. The light meals such as eggs come at dinner time sometimes, it really depends on my mood. lol.

Ever eaten a "Luft waffel"? Where I live they have restaurants called the "Waffelhouse". The food sucks butt. You can get a huge stack of luftwaffels called the "Hermann Goering Special" which IS quite good. Especially with beer.
Great pick-me up meal at 3:00am.

Hash browns (potato question) are also eaten up here in Canada. Just FYI.
Steak is a bit more of a rarity but cold pizza is a great breakfast.

Wafflehouse is particularly snazzy when it's really late and you want a pancake or two. There's one where my sister lives. I went there all the time. It kicked ass.

I miss the wafflehouse. I'm with you that it is snazzy. It's the only place in America that I can think of that makes real cherry cokes with the syrup and everything. Listening to the waitresses is awesome too. I want my hashbrowns smothered covered peppered and scattered!

I never had cherry Coke at Waffle House. I always got chocolate milk. At IHOP you get free refills on everything, even chocolate milk, so I went through about a gallon.

Anyone here like Denny's? I haven't been there in years. I forget what it's like.
