I was just curious and bored so my question is this:

What is the wierdest sound you've ever heard?

Mine probably would be a room of over 40 kids all pretending to be part of a gigantic machine and making various noises while making various movements.

The reactions given by those who saw us doing this was halarious -- no we're not nuts. It was in acting class ph34r.gif

Anyways, c'mon ppl -- wierdest sound

Well, don't know about weirdEST, but some odd ones come to mind. Like when wood squeaks when you drill in screws.

The sound of one hand clapping...
The sound of a mime swearing...
The sound of "weirdest" being spelled wrong...
The sound of no sound at all, which is only weird because I have three siblings.

I was in the process of drying off yesterday after my shower when I heard three girls come into the bathroom. One girl started a Spinbrush (or at least I hope it was a Spinbrush...sounded like one) and a a few seconds later the other two girls started giggling and saying, "Oh yeah...that's what I needed right there. Mmmm..." After the first girl turned her toothbrush off, one of the other ones let out a yelp and all of them went giggling out of the bathroom. That was by far one of the weirdest things I've heard in a while.

And just to name something that's a sound like what we're looking for here, I hate the sound of someone scratching through panty hose. Like nails on a chalkboard. Blech...

probably the sound that roaches make when you squish them inbetween your thumb and forefinger rather forcefully...

or the sound that comes from a girl thats running with way too much spikey jewelry on....

or the sound of a computer hard drive freezing up... very funny that one

or the sound of my name being called. Freaks me out every time.

Agreed. But only during sex for some reason - I'd rather be called all sorts of things besides hearing my name breathed into my ear. *shivers*

Hands down, the wierdest sound I've EVER heard...was when I spanked a money with his own banana. It let out a shriek that was a combination of excitement and horror. I'll never forget it...neither will the monkey.

My grandma snoring. No really - it really is weird-sounding. I woke up in the middle of the night at camp once, scared out of my pants.

My senior year of high school we had a part in our marching show which was pretty heavily scored. So one day during rehersal we decided to slowly play it. I hope none of you have to go through this, but it sounded like every instrument was playing one note per instrument (50 instruments) and the notes were only a half step apart from each other. I also felt a little sick afterwards.

I don't like the sound a wet towel makes when you wring it dry. Ech. Makes my ears ring.

A bus ran over a frog on its way past a friend's house, and the frog went POP! That's a pretty unique sound, there.

I'm in chorus...and for one of our concerts we did a '60's medley which included 'The Twist' and my principal stood up in the middle of the concert bagan doing the twist and singing with us...and her singing is the most bizarre noise I've ever heard. blink.gif

Geoff and Ingrid are playing a PS2 game called "Shadow Hearts," and there is apparently a really weird and terribly done cut scene in which an old Japanese woman (played by a teenage voice-actor) is telling a ghost story and describing the sound that a dead- zombie-fisherman-drowned guy makes when walking down the street - "schlooooooooooop, schlooooooooop," etc. and then describes the sound as the noise made by wet meat slapping against concrete. Now, I didn't hear this myself, but I listen to Geoff's interpretation of the young voice-actor's interpretation of the old woman's imitation......and it is pretty weird.

Another weird sound was my cat clicking in it's sleep. She didn't snore she clicked. huh.gif

Odd cat. She also taught herself how to fish. She'd sit down beside the stream until a fish swam close enough and then leap head first into the stream to bite it. Half the time she'd surface with one. Much as she loved you - never mess with her fresh fish. laugh.gif She'd also go play in summer rain showers. Odd, odd cat.

Duh! When will the rabbits stop screaming, George? happy.gif

(Seriously, though, no living thing should ever be put in a situation where it has to scream... and this from a confirmed Carnivore).

(...Meat, yes, cruelty, no...).

weirdest sound?
well i was out one night with my mates at about 10pm. it was pitch black and we were sitting at the foot of this hill. at the top of this hill
there is this huge wood. we were talking about our scariest moments when we heard this long blood curling scream kinda sound come from the wood. our imaginations took over us and we ran as fast as we could home. the next day we went up there and found nothing. but it still remains the weirdest sound i have ever heard
