Happy Rosh Hashanah everyone smile.gif Last night marked the Jewish New Year. And I get today off of school because until Yom Kippur I'm supposed to be repenting for my sins against fellow man. Yom Kippur=holiest day of the year. So...erm...yay! tongue.gif

I think I remeber being told that during Yom Kippur people wear fancy dress, but I cannot remeber the signifigance of the fancy dressing up. What's the fancy dressing up for? -If it is fancy dressing up.

Nah, you're thinking of Purim. On Yom Kippur you fast and stuff. It's on Purim that you have fun and read a story called the Megillah and wear fancy dress.

Anyone here eat "kugel?" Is it good? The recipe in my book sounds like a disgusting cross between macaroni casserole and meatloaf.....that has to be wrong, right?

Happy Holiday! Repent, you!
