I just had my old university contact me earlier today to tell me I have an interview with a games company next wednesday. This is the first interview I've had for a job I actually want so I'm getting pretty nervous.

Be calm, cool and level-headed, don't waffle, sit up straight and don't fidget, and know that I am bitterly jealous of you. dry.gif

Seriously, though, good luck. You'll come out smiling, I'm sure.

You can do it! You have the power!

Dress nicely, smile politely, be genuinely interested, answer honestly and positively, firm handshake...

I've always used the above-stated things and they've yet to fail me too much!

Oh, and good luck.

I don't know if I'm too late with this advice........I used to be a hiring manager when I still had a job lol.

What everyone else said is very true. Dress up nicely, they always say dress for your station, but its super impressive to see someone in a business suit male or female.

This always impresses interviewers....or at least me.....when someone says that they want this job because they like a challenge, or something along the lines of always being up for a challenge.

Most off make sure you look good, smell good, have soft hands, are not wearing too much jewerly if you wear any at all, and be confident.

Since I know all this why don't I have a job? laugh.gif Oh yeah thats cause I don't follow my own rules thats right.

Good luck to you though!

Risky manouvre...

I declined the offer of a glass of water at one interview, and after a few minutes my mouth felt like a cat litter...

If being nervous gives you a dry mouth, accept the water. If not, follow Tara's advice and reduce the risk of spillage. wink.gif

I accepted the offer of water once and I got a jug of it. By the end of the interview the jug was empty, my bladder was full and I was having a really hard time concentrating on anything but thoughts of porcelain.
