Hi all,

It's 5:26am here so I'll keep this short because I want to go to bed!

There's a new Mr Snaffleburger animation online, Mr Snaffleburger Is
Not Real:

http://www.matazone.co.uk/animpages/mr_sna...s_not_real.html

My shop closes this Friday, October 1st 2004, so if there's anything
that you want from there make sure you place your order before then.

For those of you in the US and who are old enough to vote, don't
forget to register by the October 18th. You can do it quickly and
easily online:

http://www.declareyourself.com
http://www.rockthevote.com

People are dying to defend democracy, so make sure you take part in it.

*yawns* Right, there might have been something more to say, but I
suspect that this really isn't the time of day where I'm going to be
able to recall what it was, so I hope you enjoy the animation!

Night night!

Mata

Next time: Not sure, maybe Mittens, maybe Lapin, maybe something else
altogether. Don't ask me, it's 5:31am.

Mr. Snaffleburger had shadowing. blink.gif How strange.

On a completely different note, my two year old sister got mad at me because I couldn't show her the new animation because it hadn't loaded yet. She really rather likes Mr. Snaffleburger, which I'm sure is all my fault. But I figure, better him than say.... the Wiggles. *shudder* (I haven't shown her many of the other characters' animations, since she can't read and I'm a shoddy narrator.)

Poor Mr. Snaffleburger,
I hope he gets some of his own back soon. He's always had a kinda defiance that I've admired. Yes, yes, It's just an animated character.

HACK THE CORPORATE REALITY!

Too bad the shops not staying because I think you could make a killing selling Mr. SB corporation identity cards.

I liked the animation, but the shading threw me off at first because I was trying to figure out what was wrong with Mr. SB, then when I did it was all ok. I'll have to go back and watch it again for the full effect when I have more time.

I decided to add the shading to give him a slightly more 3D feel. It's quite surprising how much of a difference a little change like that makes, initially I wasn't sure if people would even notice!

I also added background music this time, which I think works quite well. Oh, and there's a tiny bit of shade variation on the background green, in the shape of a ring, I figured it would give a near-subconscious impression of depth.

I thought the shading was a nice touch. Also the music fit perfectly with the animation as it always does. Where/who did it come from this time? Also great demostration of the fact that pain can control. Dictators and evilies have know and used it for centries

The music loop was something I knocked out at 4am the previous night before I went to bed after I'd been working on it late then too! At the time I didn't really think that it fitted, but when I watched it again in the morning suddenly it had grown on me, so I left it in.

I tried loads of different styles, it was actually remarkably hard to try and find the right piece to fit the mood. I had considered ditching it, but with a few more hours sleep I'm glad that I didn't. 'Glad you like it.

It is about time that Mr Sb got his own back, but I've got a problem: what can you do to hurt a corporation?

You hit them where it hurts worse, the pocket book. The corp. reality is based on consumers- consumers are based on currency. Take the currency away you lose the reality.

Take away its identity. Then it shall scream, and bang fists, and kick, and yell ... but to deaf ears. Thus creating the illusion of harm. But only to it. Cos nobody'll hear it. Not even the people who thought they worked there.

Maybe Mr. SB could covertly work with a local movement to shut down the Corporation. Even though he doesn't exist biologically, he could exist in the media as an anti-Corporation spokescartoon.

Quite odd and semo-offtopic, but I heard a voiceover on the radio at work yeaterday that sounded JUST like Mr. Snaffelburger. It scared me.

It hasn't got the ROFL rating of some of the others, but it has a better underlying politcal message and animation. I found the flying out of the screen half the time a little annoying though, and the music didn't add to much. It may just be I'm too used to Mr Sb's voice.

Surely Mr Snaffleburger getting his own back would mean the end of the series though? It just wouldn't be the same without corporate opression and such like.

Well, Moop, like George Harrison said, "All good things must pass." If the Mr. Snaffelburger series must end, then let us not grieve its loss but celebrate its happening.

And hey, if that were to happen, Mata would have more time to work on possibly a new series that all of his rabid, screaming fans can go nuts over.

Ooh. Now I'm pondering the fact that I dressed up as Mr. SB last year for Halloween...was I not real for one night? ohmy.gif

I just noticed that there was a new animation about 15 minutes ago. =/ Oh well, better late than never. I really liked this one. smile.gif

I didn't notice the shading, but I did like the animation. Maybe I should go back and rewatch the animation or something..... You know what? I've always wondered where the name Mr. Snaffleburger came from. Dare to enlighten me Mata?

I'm not sure where the name came from either. It was just in my head and seemed 'right'. There was also the advantage that previous to me it was pretty damn certain that there wouldn't be a Google page ranking to compete with for the search term.

These days I rank page 17 on Google for 'goth', so there's still a long way to go there...

Page 1 for Mittens, and for 'Midg3t in a Suitca$e' (mispelt so I don't get a higher ranking for it!) but that's thanks to Commie...

Search for and it'sSnaffleburger is all about meeeeeee smile.gif
