Well, I know none of you know one of my best-friends called Tanya, but she's beautiful, smart, funny, and a really lovely person. I found out today that she's pregnant and I'm really excited. I can't wait to meet the little person (despite it being another seven months away).

Aww! Ickle people! wub.gif

Yay! Congratulations to her...

I want a baby - I want a son or daughter to call my own.

All I need is to find a potential mother...

Or grow myself a womb.

My sister is thinking about having a baby next year, so maybe I'll just be a good uncle for a little whilst instead.

Blimey.

Groncatulations to her and all that. Frankly, the concept of parenthood still terrifies me for all the selfish reasons.

The idea of being a stay-at-home dad totally appeals though. If anyone wants to employ Mrs Jonman for an outrageous paycheck, let us know.

Yeah, I was almost there a few times. Through those experiences and helping to raise my little sister, I've figured out that it really does take someone special to have and raise a child. I pray to God that this friend of yours, Mata, is the right woman for the job and her kid to grows up to be as happy and healthy as he/she can be. smile.gif

I really do think that Tanya is going to make a very good mother. There will be difficult bits, no doubt, but I am sure that the child will grow up to be a very interesting person... And anyway, with me around occasionally to juggle shoes when it cries (a very effective method for stopping children crying) then what could go wrong?

I think that comment deserves to be in the 'start a rumour about Mata thread'...

Yes Lil'Pie, juggling shoes is damn near a universal panacea for when children are big enough to care that there's a world and small enough to be distractable. Making them think about something else works wonders.
