Just got remainded that tommorow i gm going to the Slipknot & Slayer 'Unholy Alliance' concert. This makes me happier then a barrel full of weasles covered in a lemony cheese dip. Ha! You all wish you could be me now don't you!!! (people who don't wish to be me please kindly leave) #Begins Crazed Laughter and runs home to prepare.#

Seriously though am slightly concerned that I'm going to one of the only people going who isn't a 'full - make-up - and - book - of - depressing - poems - out - and - out - goth' type. Oh well if all else fails I'll simply hide behind one of the reeeally massive overweight people who go to these things. that way no one will even see me. Hummmm... sound might be muffled though.....

Not my cup of tea, but I'm nonetheless jealous as I haven't been to a live gig since Leeds sad.gif
*cut to me at Leeds* God I miss it. Rarr at you going to a gig tongue.gif

Plan A - Saskatchewan with the family for Thanksgiving feast has fallen through. A seven hour drive there and then another seven hours back just isn't possible as a day trip. sad.gif

Plan B - My original plan. A Sting/Annie Lennox concert. Yay! So Monday will be semi-retro goodness in the Calgary Saddledome.

Dude, I hate you so much. I've been wanting to see Slipknot and Mushroomhead for years, but haven't been able to for one reason or another.

And don't worry. All kinds of people populate metal shows, not just the depressed gothy types.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! DACE FINDS THIS INFATUATION WITH SILLY AMERICAN "METAL" BANDS HILARIOUS. SLAYER ARE GREAT, THOUGH.

yes indeed, Slayer are great. I really think someone must have been drunk and/or high when they put Slipknot opposite them on the tour, though. Daft thing to do in my opinion. Oh, and my mates went last week to the Glasgow date and said that it was pretty damn awesome - except for Slipknot wink.gif

Oh yeah, also I forgot to say, I can almost equal that feat. I say almost, in that I am actually exceeding it! biggrin.gif hooray for me! I'm off to see Electric 6 at the Barrowlands on the 2nd of december, then to see the Manics (again), supported by Razorlight at the SECC on the 12th. Huttah!

I saw Slipknot live at Download and I would have seen Slayer too but they screwed it up and moved them around (both time and stage wise) at the last minute - gerrr!

*NOD* agreed.

I doubt that there will be too many goths at a slipknot concert.

I'd be more worried about the amount of kids that'll be there, though it shouldn't be too bad as slayer are playing... I guess.

Now that you mention it, there are a lot of kids at Slipknot shows. Hell, there are a lot of kids in general that like Slipknot. High school freshman love Slipknot.

Bel, you wil incur my wrath for going to see HIM.

And sorry GTS. When I think of the little kids liking Slipknot, I think of the angst-ridden teens and pre-teens that think that being pissed off and hating the world is cool. You know the kind. Those are the brats that tell you you're too preppy for wearing the letterman jacket you earned or the stupid dumb kid who heats up a screwdriver and carves a pentagram in his arm that gets infected because he hates himself and wants to die. Not that I know or anything.

*sighs* I wish I could see HIM. I was going to see Taking Back Sunday a week ago, but school screwed me over with homework. I did the mature thing and skipped the concert dry.gif (maturity sucks. j/k) since I skipped homework the previous night to go to my forvorite author's book signing (again).

*shrug* Slayer's not that bad, but I'll be goddamned if I don't hate Slipknot.

However, I've seen Aerosmith twice, Meatloaf once, Weird Al once, and so many local bands that I can't even begin to count (most notably: Laughing Buddha formerly known as Hemp Bag Monk.)

Yes I know the kind. They roam the hallways in large numbers wearing slipknot t-shirts. I am already getting sick of them. I haven't given slipknot a fair chance but I'm not willing to, and shame on me for liking metal and not listening to any slayer as of yet.

but going to a concert would be fun. I can't wait until I can drive...

So true. Guy in my form did that, three years back. Fifteen at the time. Just related cause he was a huge slipknot fan. Only because his friends were though...I despair of sheep culture nowadays.

Lygophilia, TBS also rocked at Leeds...not sure I've got it in me to miss out on things like that *respecting you a lot*

Mike...I'm taking all your coffee for this. It's one of my ambitions in life to see Aerosmith play live. And Meatloaf. sad.gif You Lucky Buggar.

Well, for all HIM fans I'll see if I can get some decent piccies and shove a link up to them if I can.

I'm only really going cause it will be a bit of a giggle, and as for The Rasmus, well the cat got a blackbird the other day, so now I have a load of black feathers to put in my hair!
