Stuff. And yeah. I like classical music, religion in general. I'm supposedly going to be a dentist some day, but only if I can pass neuroanatomy. Go me.

So, because a bunch of silly people are denying their carnal passions for Lent (said the guy who has given up snack food, junk food, fried food, pop, and cookies for lent -- plus a large reduction in meat consumption), Oli and I decided to have a Lent Breakers challenge. Simply: In the remaining days of Lent, how many times can we... ahem... break the rules of the Lent Challenge that other people are participating in.
As of now, the stats are:
Yes, we are unable to stop touching ourselves for 40 days. We are such dirty children.

Haven't been around in ages, but just wanted to tell everyone that, indeed, I am now married to my lovely wife, known on here as Artemisia. The wedding was on July 2, and went off wonderfully (with a few hitches here and there, but who can complain?) Jaw was one of our bridesmaids (in absentia, since she was in Bangkok at the time) but had a recorded message for us, which was lovely. Jicama on here was also one of our bridesmaids. It was exactly what we wanted. Artemisia looked gorgeous in her dress, and we had a fun time at the reception afterwards.
We then spent a month in Italy on our honeymoon, which was absolutely phenomenal. We met up with Jaq in Rome and had a blast there, (even though Rome kicked us in the ass a few times). I'm writing up what we did on our honeymoon on my livejournal, if anyone is interested. My username there is "tigersong" as well. I'll eventually getting around to writing up what happened at the wedding. Eventually, for those who know/care about me, I'll have pictures up on photobucket of the wedding and the honeymoon... but there's so much to do now that we're back in Canada, things are crazy busy (plus both my wife and I are sick with colds), so it'll be a while.
I just wanted to thank everyone who signed the card that Candice sent us. That was really really nice to get in the mail, and kind of exciting when we got back. A big thanks to Candice, too, for organizing/sending it. *hugs*

Y'know, with the advent of the new LGG animation, I was just sitting here, thinking about the sum total of the animations and I wondered: gee, what's with all the rabbits?
Presumably spawned by the Hopper's Pizza, which probably was a reference to the space hopper, but in my strangely sleep deprived mind, I couldn't stop thinking about bunnies... hoppity hoppity hop hop hop...
Goth bunnies, Fluffykin, of course Samuri Lapin, the bunny in the nine-mouthed baby game, the bunny as the first animal in the be good-be evil test, the easter bunny in the easter animations, Pink Fwuffy Bunny in the VFMP archive... am I missing any of the major ones?
It could perhaps all be explained away by Pink Fwuffy Bunny, or perhaps Mata's endearing insanity, but I'm curious as to what neuroses inspire these bunny-plagued visions.
So what's with all the rabbits?

Not really sure where to post this, but this will suffice.
The term "Ancient of Days" is used in Daniel 7:9, 13, and 22, and it's a Aramaic phrase from what I have been able to see, amidst the Hebrew of the rest of the book. From what I've been able to find online, the transliteration into the English alphabet is "Attiyq Yowm" or "Atik Yomin." I would really like to be able to use this phrase in the original Hbrew/Aramaic alphabet for an art piece I'm working on.
Can any of the Jews or Hebrew speakers out there help me out on this one? Also, is there a semi-decent English-Hebrew dictionary online?
Thanks a bunch.

So, we're having this marriage prep councilling seminar (which, by the way, I'm convinced is a money making scam... but, that's not the point here. ) and we have a pen and a paper and I'm just kind of listening to the speaker and doodling. So, Artemesia tells me in an angry type voice under her breath not to do it.
This later errupted into the most stupid argument we've ever had. I'm counting on you guys to prove me right!
Do you doodle? Do you think most studnets doodle in class while taking notes? Do you think that doodling is in any way, shape or form disrespectful? Would you go out of your way to teach your children to not doodle? Or is this just a case of trying to keep up appearances that is utterly pointless and everybody doodles and it's no great offense? If you were a prof and someone was doodling, would you care?
Prove me right people!
