Today I took a walk through a cemetary with a friend, although we're both too young to be thinking about this we already know how we would like to be buried.

I would like my body to be burnt, and burried under my tree with a plaque or something marking my place of rest.

She would like a simple grave stone with her name, and a biblical message.

Have you put any thought into how you would like to be buried? Or a message you would like people to read as they pass by your final resting place, if anything.

Well, as pointed out before by whom I do not recall.. Mata perhaps. Sometimes in life, when you spend time with certain people, things are repeated. Also with history and styles, things tend to rotate in and out, repeating themselves. The same is so with a forum. People come and go, and some stay. Long enough to see things repeat, it's bound to happen, and to expect it should be normal.

As for the point of the thread... I really don't care, I'll be dead, will it make a difference? I don't think it will.

I want all my usable organs to be donated, I want my hair clipped and donated to one of those places that does wigs for kids with cancer, then I want to be creamated and have my ashes spread across the world. Even if I make absolutely no difference in life, I want to do something good in death.

I didn't know about that. That sounds like a good cause. Hopefully there'll be some kind of cure for it by then.

Aye - the wife did it when she had about 3 feet of hair cut off years before I knew her. She said it was the only good thing about cuttting her immensely long hair.

I want all my longer bones (arms and legs basically, but ribs too!) sharpened and used to poke somebody of my choice repeatedly. That'll learn 'em! The rest of me can be chucked in a cupboard and forgotten about.

I want to be stuffed and put in a rocking chair on the front porch as a conversation piece.

I want to be a brain in a jar! Hooked up to the internet if possible.

the poking thing seems nice, but I have a more practical/disturbing idea. There is a certain museum (it is most likely in Europe. damn.) where people have donated their bodies, and the bodies are to be preserved. the thing is, though, that they cut the bodies open and display all the organs and such, and then have the bodies do things like play polo or chess or something one does not usually see a body do. It seems cool
I definitely want to do that
