I cannot belive this is serious

but sadly it is

a cross-dressing shark is corrupting america's children!

how do american matazonians cope in a nation with such nutters?
tptcow
I cope with it by not having a tv in my room...smile.gif Its much less stressful, to not watch tv.

It seriously boggles my mind what people will believe and percieve. It makes you think how perverted and evil these people are to see all this.

Oh, and how's this for utter bullsh*t: Harry Potter is evil.

I just love how they roll the name of my God in the mud so they can feel important. They're saving the God damn world from itself so they can be first in line when the Lord comes and tells then that they've been doing the right f*cking thing the whole time. Cngradu-God damn-lations. EEEAAH! I need to break something.

Wow. I've just looked at both of those websites mentioned. That's extremely bleak. The Shark's Tail review unfortunately fails to illustrate that even if the film showed Lenny holding a plaquard that read 'I'm gay and proud' for a full 5 minutes, it still wouldn't exactly be all that terrible. Who bloody cares if the shark is gay? It's socially acceptable and so it should be.
As for the anti-Potter website...blimey! I didn't realise there was such an unpleasant undercurrent of blood-thirsty hatred for poor old Harry and his friends at Hogwarts. How can people dedicate so much time and effort to something that is basically ridiculous? Pish! Pathetic.

Well, ALIYB, apparently the Lord's work, instead of feeding the hungry and helping out the needy, consists of blasting fictional characters and nonexistant subtleties.

You know, if they want to blast cross-dressing and homosexuality, why don't they look to Bugs Bunny dressing up like a girl and kissing Elmer Fudd?

Here's a thought: They have to be perverted in some way to see this stuff. Case in point: I joke around about the SpongBob SquarePants drug theory because I've been around drugs and have done some. I find little commonalities and humerously act as though they mean something. If it takes a bit of drug knowledge and a twisted sense of humor to see drugs in SpongeBob, it must take a lot of knowledge of homosexuality and a lot of perve-ness to see all that in Shark Tale. Hmm. Maybe they should be looking to those of their congregation in worry because they may have some closet-cases in the parrish.

Two decades ago, accepting differences meant accepting a person who might have a different skin color, or be from a different ethnic background.

Such differences are immutable characteristics, however, and not sexual choices.

SHUT. UP.

GOD. Sexual f**king choices. Choices. Right. Because gay people choose to be gay. I'll bet. After all, who wouldn't choose a life of persecution? These people, I swear... it's too bad stupidity isn't painful.

God forbid that children would one day accept others and read fantasy books!
what is this world COMING to??
truth is, whenever I see one of these things, I just laugh. I mean, it is just so rediculous that someone would believe something like:
"Author Rowling uses the most vivid colors imaginable in her Harry Potter novels. These colors are discovered to originate from the old Satanic Druid religion, and play a significant role in Ritual Magic. This discovery is proof positive of the Satanism of Harry Potter novels, but its effect on your child will shock you!"
I mean, really!
do these people actually have nothing better to do than find demonic references in the Hary Potter series and pick on supposed homosexual cartoon characters??
Righteous
My catholic grandmother reads Harry Potter books. She remarks how well-written and appeal to readers of all ages. I find that kind of interesting especially since she's hardcore Christian and sees no problem in Harry Potter.

Then again, these CuttingEdge folks denounce Catholicism as if they're the supreme authority on Christianity.

I've invariably found that the most loudarsed homophobics are repressed homosexuals themselves who have been raised in an atmosphere that makes them so terrified of their own leanings that they viciously attack homosexuality, both in the hopes that they can dissuade themselves and out of fear that other people will notice them for what they are. A guy in one of my classes told me that his greatest fear was that he would wake up one day and realise he'd "become homosexual". I almost wailed him one.

Wasting time and energy attacking assinine things....god bless. This country is becoming so bleeding conservative, it's sick. "Liberal" is practically a dirty word. It gives me fits of rage that whackjobs like this are running things. Honestly. Can't they find something more productive to do with all that righteous anger?

Like in American Beauty! That's always what i think of when i hear people discussing hiding homosexuality. smile.gif Sliiightly irrelevant, but that's such a great film i try to make reference to it as much as possible.

Ah, but Harry Potter does corrupt children:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/store...4802084-4137514

You may notice that this item has been discontinued.

You may also notice that despite being an official Harry Potter product, it very oddly only has two reviews. How strange...

The thing that they don't mention is that the toy, as well as making whooshing noises, also vibrated. This was supposed to give the sensation of holding tight to the broom while you fly through the air.

The toy very rapidly became extremely popular with girls and was withdrawn very hastily!

Now that's what I call an oversight in the design process! biggrin.gif

XD Classic.

I can't really comment much on the content of the movie, sinse I haven't seen it and most likely wont any time soon, but you really have to wonder about life when the people who are most likely to promote big industry related movies start saying that they're all immoral or that they're corrupting "their" youth. Especially when the argument is as groundless as in this case. I'm used to think I was open minded about what I read and took in, but these days I find it harder and harder to listen to anyone that's shouting out stupidity like this at the top of their voice... Next they're going to start blaming the commies... again.

Did anyone else notice that the AFA article quotes an Onion review? The Onion....a parody newspaper that published a "Harry Potter is Evil" article that also got passed around by the AFA? link

I think someone's got to tell them the Onion isn't_real
voices_in_my_head
i've seen reviews that they took off the site for that toy broom! They all said somthing about them buying it for thier son and finding out thier daughter enjoyed it more! one review even stated how her five and seventeen year-okld girls would constantly fight over the toy!
that " anti-harry potter" site was so funny! I know it's not supposed to be but where do these people get this stuff?!

"F. The Monster Book of Monsters [p. 112, for use in the class, Care of Magical Creatures] This book was haunted by very powerful demons; they would rip and tear at the students trying to open them, and they would even rip the books apart. Most students kept the demons inside the book covers by strapping the book shut with a big, heavy belt."

How funny! the book is haunted by demons? Right....sure.
then they go and talk about how shark tale potrays a gay shark.... yeah, 'cause you meet gay sharks all of the time... honestly people, how would thay know so much about the "symbols" if they had'nt studied them thoughly? They evendently have read all of the harry potter books...
I think i got a bit worked up... sorry.

are you laughing at me or the people who wrote that movie review? huh.gif

I've started reading the articles on the Harry Potter thing. I have no adjectives to describe them. One refers to the fact that JK Rowling is a member of a secret sec of Witchcraft who only has the most wealthy and powerful members. I looked up this secret sect, here are the apparent members from which JK Rowling is apparently supposed to be a member of.

So here are the names of the  13 families - the Secret Government.
1. Astor
2. Bundy
3. Collins
4. DuPont
5. Freeman
6. Kennedy
7. Li (Chinese)
8. Onassis
9. Rockefeller
10. Rothschild
11. Russell
12. van Duyn
13. Merovingian (European Royal Families)

The following families are also interconnected with those above:

1. Reynolds
2. Disney
3. Krupp
4. McDonald
Mata
Oo, the Merovingians are being pulled out and dusted down again? How fun! The bloodline of Christ, passed down through his child with Mary Magdalene, brought to England after Christ's death, protected by the Knights Templar, secretly ruling Europe for two thousand years... And in league with JK Rowling!

Of course, if the Merovingians are behind all this, then what's the problem? They're the bloodline of Christ, so how exactly are they evil? They're descended from God!

S'obvious, innit. That God character was a right slacker. Couldn't even put in a full week's work - he bunked off on Sunday and stayed in bed playing playstation. And he bodged most of the work he did do. I mean, look at testicles. Absolute farce. And zebras? Clearly done with a hangover. And don't get me started on daytime TV. Last minute rush job if ever I saw one.

I guess evil is a bit harsh. Lazy maybe.
