I found the book called Geralds Game by Steven King in a charity shop.

Why not go and read it.
You do not have to buy a copy.
Get it from the library or read the first dozen pages in the shop.

Having done or had done to me most things (The old have their memories even if they are now considered past it.) this book rather put me off playing some games in old age.
