Okay, I've joked about it before, but I see it more now than ever. Whether Mata meant it or not, I see a kind of romantic tension between Lapin and Ozaki. In Lapin 4, Lapin and Ozaki sit outside in the beginning of winter, a nice romantic environment, if I've ever seen one. He talks about expecting nothing, being all smooth and talking about "the right time to move." Then, very gently and romantically, brings Ozaki to his sword in the ground where a snowflake lands on the handle. That's a way to impress a chick. And as I've said, if not for the ninja bunny, Lapin could have easily gotten to first base. It was a perfect moment.
I think I've presented my case. I see romantic tension between the two bunnies. How about you guys?

I see it ^^ But I do think you're being silly none the less. I mean, it could happen, you could create your own little story line, but its still a teaching enviroment and it doesnt fit the Samuri Lapin themes/moods at all

Well, I do kinda see it, and being the romantic that I am, I would love to see Lapin and Ozaki have little ninja bunnies so that they are not the last ect. I don't think it is going to happen though, but it's fun to think about.

Maybe your picking up on the voices and not the story =>

I see it, if only because the story has that whole "new relationshipy" feel to it. Lapin is always showing Ozaki new things, always explaining and impressing her & such. But perhaps I'm just crazy.

Can anyone remember back to Lapin 2? Ozaki was the last, so Samurai Lapin didn't have any children with her, because Lapin would have taught them how to fight in a battle and they wouldn't have been killed. Plus, I can't see Lapin going soppy all of a sudden and judging by the fact Lapin is dead at the end of SL2, I reckon he must have been at least 20 bunny years older than Ozaki. OK, I'll stop babbling, but there's your proof.

But just because he is the last doesn't mean that the potential samauri bunnys can't still exist. Maybe Ozaki doesn't think them ready to start their training yet. Perhaps they're off in the world meditating for a bit first. Who knows...

Lapin takes a warm, guardian's role over Ozaki, and Ozaki looks up to him in a respectful manner...
Lapin wants to show her things, teach her how to win, and be...'in the moment'.
Ozaki is an attractive female bunny with a wit as sharp as her steel...
perhaps there are Baby bunnies in the picture? they could raise their children, and guard over them...then in that one, where Ozaki says she is the last, perhaps lapin died herocially, protecting their bunny offspring, and Ozaki doesn't want them to get hurt, so perhaps she mentiones that she's the last because she doesn't want them to fight?
ooh! ooh! ooh!

Okay, looking at the above posts, I can't believe I didn't know that Ozaki was female. (Or maybe I just hadn't thought about it *is hopeful*)
Myself, now people have mentioned this, I _kinda_ see it, but not really.

I can see how it'd be possible, but not especially likely to be drawn from the interaction we've seen thus far.

Yes, I thought she was a boy with a girly voice.

I thought that Ozaki was a boy too exceptional. I think Mata left it up to us to decide as we see fit.

They're going to get drunk off sake one evening, and a few years later Lapin Jr will walk around, thinking dismally "mommy calls me her little mistake".
