Just wondering why do the avatars show up sometimes and othertimes they don't.
Is there a reason?

Not being Technically minded, I would hazard a guess that either something is wrong here at Matazone, or at the individual hosting services, when Avatars go blank... Servers do go down from time to time, often for updating or scheduled Maintenance. If ALL the avatars are missing, I'd say something is screwy with Matazone, at that moment, but, if some are up, but not all, I'd say it was down to a Host, somewhere...

I changed my avatar the other day and had to try hosting it at three different places before it would show up. I don't know if that has anything to do with it?

where did you end up hosting it?
all the avatars etheir
1) all show up.
2) none show up.
or
3) the simple, non-animated ones show up.

It's at good old Photobucket. It's one of all of about three files I have on there! biggrin.gif

I'm not sure the reason for that. There are so many reasons why a picture might not show up. The two main ones are:

1) The image's address hasn't been typed into the box correctly (that's a biggie)

2) The server it's on doesn't allow remote linking (although that's not a problem with P'bucket).

Past that I'm not sure.

Do you happen to be on dial-up? Because I've had problems just like that when I was using it. I think it had to do with things loading slowly at times and my computer just saying screwit and showing what it had up to that point.

nah. I have DSL.... and that makes it more confusing, since I can't just blame it on that
