That's a good point. However, you DO look quite a bit older then 13. Legal, at the very least.
On topic - I like your natural colour. Definately would need to see pictures of the new colour though.

Really? I sort of meant it to sound like Leslie Phillips. Our American forumites may not know him, but he's renowned for that sort of innuendo over here. I think, anyway.

I'm jealous, your hair is gorgeous.

I was planning on dying my hair red (brightish) but I can't because I'm having scalp issues.
Anyone know a good remedy for getting rid of big hard lumps of dead skin? They're really annoying me and I don't have my mum on hand to remove any big chunks of dead skin that can be found floating in the static mess that is my hair of late.

Snoo, have you ever considered the possibility that you might be a zombie? That'd be mighty cool. You could eat people and stuff.
A soft brush might work to get rid of the most of them, but other than picking them out like a chimpanzee, I can't really think of anything that'd work.

Try a shampoo called Tgel. My mum uses it for her own scalp problem. She has Psoriosis (Sp?) Its stinks but it does clear her scalp up really well. And she dyes her hair

This is going to sound disgusting, Snoo, and is probably a huge old wives tale - but I've heard that mayonnaise is good for scalp problems.

I ordered a free sample of head and shoulders sensitive the other day so I might see how that works before I go buy really expencive shampoo... can you get samples of TGel anywhere?

If anyone does decide to try an egg wash in their hair I feel duty-bound to print this warning:
Do not rinse with hot water.
It will turn into scrambled egg in your hair and make a horrible lumpy, gloopy mess. Although your hair does still end up shiny...
On topic, you have very purdy hair lola and snoo - I just realised you're not who I thought you were. I keep thinking your smee, a girl I went to school with about the same age as you...oops...

TGel isnt too expensive Snoo and pretty much any shampoo with coldtar (sp) works I have similar problems and it works a treat! Vosene do one and for your wonderous studenty self wilkinsons do their own version for about 59 pence and its fantastic. Well it works for me anyway!

Lola can I steal your hair please, its gorgeous?!

Heh. Go you. I just went from red hair to black, too, this week (snap decision). 'Course, your hair's nicer than mine, so it's not much of a comparison. But as much as I liked the red hair, black's nice, because it's more low-key...or something. Mayhap I'll post pics; I'm curious whether people think I should keep it black, everyone I talk to has been aggrivatingly diplomatic. Anyway, woo. You have really nice hair.
And snoo, if nothing works try using an organic shampoo without laurel sulfates--I had horrible issues with my scalp until I figured out the corperate arsebuckets were putting carcinogenic detergents in my cleaning stuffs and not warning me I might be allergic. JASON is a good line, but there are others if you look in a health food store.

Does anyone put dye in their conditioner to help keep their colour better? I'm just wondering if it works.

Um, I don't know about putting dye personally into the conditioner, but there are conditioners you can buy that supposedly "enhance" colour, eg make blonde more blonde, red more red, usw. But they tend to cost more. And personally I don't think they do very much other than dye your hands funny colours. I don't think they recommend mixing your own, though, if that's what you mean. I don't believe you're supposed to keep mixed dye around for too long after you open/use it.

eep! noooo! not mixed dye, I was meaning like semi-perminant dye that you don't have to mix.
I know *exactly* why they say to dispose of any dye you've not used as soon as you've used it. moop decided not to waste the remainder of some dye I used so just put it back in the box, on the kitchen worktop. A fe hours later, when everyone was in bed there was a big *pfsoosh* and we went downstairs in the morning to find a big foamy puddle of dye on the ceiling and all up the window and on the breakfast bar.
Don't do it. We have a bleached patch on the ceiling from it.
