Full Version: Profile Card

I haven't heard anyone else mention it, so I thought I would...

Since the server change, the 'Profile Card' image seems to be missing - causing I nice little unloaded image on every post.

The URL the image points to is:
http://www.matazone.co.uk/forums/style_images/1/p_card.gif
which gives a 404. So have I missed something? Has this not been mentioned because no-one else wanted to, or because I'm the only one that's getting it?
Novander
Click here for a lovely picture of Novander's posts

Notice the 'profile card' text. I would also like to point out the lack of delete button.

I don't know if it helps, but I'm viewing this in FireFox 1.0
Mata
Hmm.

I also see that image without any problems, but the missing delete button is a puzzle. There used to be a setting for tha, I think, but I can't seem to find it now.
Quoth(The Raven)
I'll add my two cents... No 'delete', no 'Profile card' image...
Feyliya
No delete button at all for me, and no profile card image. I'm on Firefox, too.
funked)out_frog
Yo! I'm using Fire Fox 1.0, my profile cards come up fine, but I have no delete button at all.
Greeneyes
Same here. Firefox 1.0, Profile, but no delete.

This Post

Edit: I just realised Novander has the Profile card as well. Whoops. That'll teach me to read threads backwards. blink.gif Oh well...
CheeseMoose
Same as Greeneyes and Froggie

Friefox 1.0, Profile, no delete
trunks_girl26
Yup. No delete and no profile card image. Not using firefox, however.
CommieBastard
Ordinary members aren't supposed to have the delete function, are they? I thought only moderators could delete posts.
Ashbless
No delete button, no profile card picture, no firefox.

Just a negative sort of person, I suppose. tongue.gif laugh.gif
Quoth(The Raven)
oh, yeah... In addition to no profile card, and no delete button, I'm not using Firefox, either...

I was under the impression that this was on our individual posts, whereas mods can delete anyone's.

It'd be nice to delete just our own posts if needed. Like when I just double posted. >_o
CheeseMoose
We definately used to be able to delete our own, before the boards moved server.
Mata
Mr Fuzzy upgraded the software when the site changed servers, so that accounts for the different settings, but I've still not found how to turn the delete button back on again yet. (Yes, members previously could delete only their own posts.)
Mr Fuzzy
Really? I'm sure I never enabled that...
I'll sort it out now.
CheeseMoose
Yay! It works now

Delete button is live, but I still see no Profile Card picture.

Same here...
Mata
That's very odd, because I can see it.

*checks in IE*

Hm. Apparently Internet Explorer doesn't like it. How very odd. It's fine in Firefox... Although that may just be Firefox automatically replacing a broken picture with its text-description.

I use Internet Explorer and I've never been able to see the profile card properly.

Can someone post a picture - just so I know what a proper one looks like? biggrin.gif
Mata
I suspect that it's not actually appearing for anyone. It looks like it was missing from the install file, but Firefox just covers this up by creating a text link rather than an ugly 'image missing' red x.

The file the IMG SRC tag points to, doesn't exist, as far as I can tell. And yeah, FireFox just uses the Alt Text instead of the red X.
Quoth(The Raven)
exactly what was the 'profile card' button supposed to do, anyway...?

Click it and find out smile.gif Or perhaps I should say, "Click the area it should be in".

Basically, it just shows a little brief profile about the user (^yours^ is here). Just gives a photo, AIM/MSN/ICQ details, etc.
DarkInferno
I had a quick look around for the button, didn't find one that matched the theme on here.. so I drew a new one.

just pop it into the style folder smile.gif
Mata
Hurrah!

Cheers DI. We now have a functioning profile card image smile.gif
Feyliya
Woot! All fixed and looking nice for me!

Quoth(The Raven)
Yay! It works! and, boy, is it neat! Just about everything you might want to know, in brief! Great for a casual looksee...

*is embarassed he didn't notice the new icon yesterday, before visiting this thread today*

That is a compliment to the seamless, perfect match with all the other icons. Good work DI.
