Urge On-Polysics
Wayyyy back in about March (or it could have been May) I saw the video for I My Me Mine by Polysics and was astounded by how their music sounded. I ranted and raved about them to anyone who would listen, but no one knew who they were. Then I was talking about music to Wytu, recently, and I mentioned them. He got all excited and copied all he owns by them and sent it to me.

Spandex Man- Mr Scruff

My brother got me into Mr Scruff. I love how he uses old tracks, samples and loops to create really groovy music.

Son Of A Gun- Nirvana (John Peel Sessions)
In my opinion, Incesticide is the only good Nirvana album- they were New Wave, verging on Grunge - and this song is a brilliant example of their music in that era.

Polaris- Jimmy Eat World
I Lessthanthree JEW.

U Don't Know Me- Basement Jaxx
I like to dance

Jane Is Fat- Oh No! Oh My!

This was sent to me by a friend, when I was in France, and I love it. There is a lyric that goes "One by one we'll fall asleep and everyone's gonna be in love"- YAY for Midsummer Night's Dream reference biggrin.gif

Magick- Klaxons
"New rave" ftw.

Astro- The White Stripes

This is only here from a mix-CD from a friend. I like the 'Stripes, just don't own any of their material

Intergalactic- Beastie Boys

Intergalactivplanetaryplanetaryintergalactic

Shiver- Coldplay
I don't like Coldplay. I do like 3 songs of theirs, and this is one of them (from a mix CD from a friend)

A good choice of song to go for, though.

New monitor means random playlist from my PC...

1. Cake - Comfort Eagle
<3

2. Armor For Sleep - Dream To Make-Believe
I really like this song, I like all the Armor For Sleep stuff I have heard.

3. Ozma - Domino Effect
Not listened to this for ages but it is beautifully quirky

4. Sunny Day Real Estate - Roses In Water
SDRE are awesome, this song no exception

5. Anberlin - A Day Late
Another song I really really like

6. Idlewild - Century After Century
I'm not a big fan of Idlewild, I can listen to them but I would rather listen to something else

7. A Perfect Circle - A Stranger
I've not listened to APC since about April, I do still love them (and Tool who I saw on Friday) and think Maynard is an amazing guy - the lyrics, his voice. I should listen to them more...

8. Sunny Day Real Estate - Shadows
Possibly the second SDRE song I heard, shame they had to come up twice...

9. Eagles - Best Of My Love
I adore The Eagles, I have done ever since I was little - my dads influence.

10. InMe - A World Apart
I like InMe but currently have issues listening to them... this song especially

{and because SDRE came up twice...}
11. Nightwish - Dead Gardens
I'm not a huge Nightwish fan but I think this is one of their best songs
CheeseMoose
1) New Wave Jacket - Polysics
Hehe, great song, not the sort of stuff I normally listen to, but fun.

2) Elected - Alice Cooper
One of my all time favourite songs

3) Highway Star - Deep Purple
A classic rock song, this is a live version, but it doesn't lack anything for it

4) No More Mr. Nice Guy - Alice Cooper
His second appearance on the list already, and I only have one album of him on this computer. It's a good song, not the best.

5) Day Old Blues - Kings of Leon
Not a song I've ever really listened to

6) Monkey Gone to Heaven - The Pixies
Awesome song.

7) Better Days - Gun
What? Never heard of it.

8) Psycho - SOAD
Hmm, rather like most SOAD songs, I can listen to it, but I wouldn't particularly put it on.

9) Swing Low, Sweet Chariot - UB40, United Colours of Sound
Yay for England winning the rugby!

10) Nobody's Fault But Mine - Led Zeppelin
Surprisingly the only Zep song on here, considering the amount of their stuff I've got. I likey.

1. Sail Away - David Gray
A very simple song, but lovely all the same.

2. Modern Way (Live) - Kaiser Chiefs
I love the Kaiser Chiefs album and this is from a bonus live CD that came with the Special Edition of 'Employment'. Very good song.

3. Locked Out - Crowded House
I like most of what Crowded House did, including this smile.gif

4. Eternal Flame - Bangles
This is a song I liked a good few years ago, and has now suddenly begun to annoy me a little bit. I think I have just heard it too many times. With my love of 80s music, I do, of course, own a Bangles greatest hits CD. They did many songs a damn site better than this.

5. Don't Turn Around - Aswad
I'm not really a fan of reggae and reggae-esque music. But this song's alright. I'm sure someone else covered this...?

6. Under Pressure - Queen & David Bowie
A classic song. Superb in every way.

7. Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush
Kate Bush at her best, perhaps.

8. Love Somebody - Robbie Williams
For all his pop-ness and in-your-face commerciality, Mr. Williams has released some good examples of music. This one doesn't come to mind, though.

9. Could It Be Magic - Take That
Hmm... well, I do own a Take That CD, I admit. BUT... it was my mother's, which I inherited along with most of the rest of her CD collection.

10. On A Day Like Today - Bryan Adams
I am not especially familiar with this song.

Hmm... a collection of songs that is almost overtly "popular". Oh well.
PsychWardMike
Nil Lara - "Fighting for my Love"
It's a great, passionate song from Scrubs. One of my absolute favorite love songs of all times.

The Dave Matthews Band "The Space Between"
Another one of my favorite love songs. Good stuff.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd - "Shame, Shame, Shame"
God I love the blues. Kenny Wayne Shepherd reminds me a lot of Stevie Ray Vaughn.

The Producers - "Springtime for Hitler"
...Yeah.

Dispatch - "Hey, Hey"
I'm a white American college boy. That means I like Dave Matthews and Dispatch. It's kind of a law of the universe, I think.

Stephen Lynch - "Lullabye"
Don't mind the smoke. Daddy just wants to forget... tonight.

The New Japanese Philharmonic - "The Gourmet Race/Collision Theme/Theme of Kirby's Triumphant Return"
Orchestras plus video game music = happy times.

Steppenwolf - "Magic Carpet Ride"
Stoner rock. Woo!

Elton John - "I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues"
I like Elton John. Shut up.

Barenaked Ladies - "Second Best"
Barenaked Ladies are my favorit band at the moment. I kind of equate them to what would happen if The Beatles Met Scrubs. They write great, catchy melodies with lyrics that explore the same topics as Scrubs - self doubt, self loathing, complacency. It's good times, and "Second Best" is one of the best examples.
