Inspired by
Daedalus' thread - any Matazonians going along to
Reading Festival? Our favourite band the Pixies are headlining Friday

Nah, I won't be in the country at the time.. and if I was I'd probably have to forego eating or breathing to afford the tickets.
Ah well.. the bands look awesome, Id love to go..

Agggghhhhh....
I want to go so bad it is actually physically painful. But I would be better off building a raft and floating across the Atlantic than asking my dear, dear parents to let their daughter go to England to see some of the noises that come out of their computer on an hourly basis.
Damn you, Atlantic Ocean.

Bah. I would be going except tickets have sold out already. 'tis a pity, as that would have been my holiday this year. Instead I'll be working all through this summer.
Oh well, I'm gonna need the money for next year.
Hey, look: I haven't got bored of you lot after two months, Its just that I'm home, where we have The Slowest Internet Connection In The World. If you look in the Guiness Book of Records, I'm sure there'll be a lovely picture of me scowling.

I intend to go but am doubting I can afford it, especially not at this time. *curses lack of willing paid jobs*

Have they? Oh. Sod it.
Reading and Download are usually yearly rituals. Except Download is currently in the balance, as it's really not as good as usual (how has this happened, with one day being Ozzfest? How? How?!?). And there's also the consideration of Rock Am Ring in Germany, which would be the business.
But, yes! Pixies at Reading - very exciting.

Sold out? I completely missed that post. They didn't sell out this fast last year, or the year before.
Brr...

Be that as it may, you could always
apply as a steward, not quite the same thing and there's a chance you're working while there's a band you wanna see, but if all the tickets are sold out, it's better than nothing, better still, it's actually free (assuming you turn up to all three of your shifts).
P.S. I applied for Leeds

Nah. I never really liked the Carling festivals. How come The Foos and Iron Maiden aren't playing Donnington like they should be?!
